The first impression from the street is not overwhelming, then you climb the stairs and a very friendly receptions is waiting for you. Smooth check-in, and he sorted a room for my friend for the next few days, since he didn't have accommodation booked. Beds look quite average at first sight, but then they are comfortable. Also the shower is very good. Located close to Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur, 200 m from the metro station. Not central, but well-connected.
Located on a busy road, the front rooms can be quite noisy. Rooms are a bit small and basic, but they do the job.
Great staff, wifi and location
Shower and toilets cramped and far away from each other
Hotel for this prize is on really high qualitty and on great location.
It's been my girlfriend birthsday, I have been asking personel to prepare the room, but after they forgot about it. Anyway I will recomend that hotel.
- The staff was amazing, very helpful and quick to respond if something was needed, kind and smiling. - The facility is very clean and cozy, there are flat screens and little fridges in the rooms witch I looove and a supermarket right across the street. - Great location for a good price, the hotel is on the East edge of my fav area in Paris, Montmartre, so it only takes a few minutes to walk to Sacré-Coeur. I will for sure stay here next time I'm in Paris!
Nothing really, loved it, but I leave few helpful notes here: - Some might think the neighborhood is a bit shady late in the evening, I didn't feel unsafe and walked around late in the evening with my sons, 13 and 16 years old. - For people with heavy luggage, there is no elevator so it's probably wise to book a room on the lower floors but I'm sure the nice staff would help carrying things up. - The street can be noisy during the day so if people like to chill in their rooms at daytime with the windows open you might consider getting a room not facing the main street.
Staff really good
The hotel has everything I need. It's on Metro line 4, and the area is a fun one. The bedside lighting was excellent. The room has a fridge, which I appreciate as I am dieting and prefer to eat a salad in my room than a three-course dinner. It was clean and quiet. The WiFi was top-notch.
The place is a bit scruffy. cracked tiles, battered wardrobe door, battered paint etc. It's insalubrious. It is also in a street that the nervous traveller may find a bit scary. It isn't scary, but it may appear so.
Quiet (when in our room) Amazing value for money Room was cleaned and tidied every day 30 second walk to a metro station Opposite to a supermarket (sells some english food) Staff - friendly and helpful Bed - comfortable E An excellent stay for what we wanted!!!!
The LOCATION - didn't feel safe walking down the streets The steep stairs within the hotel - had a poor knee and had to carry suitcases up 3 flights of stairs Barely anyone spoke english near the hotel so it was difficult to find anything we wanted.
Short trip from C. de Gaulle airport(RER B to Gare du Nord, then metro line 4 to Chateau Rouge or Marcadet Poissonier, altogether some 30mins). Don't be intimidated by the eccentric types on the streets, it is Montmartre after all. Receptionists and housekeepers were friendly and solicitous.
friendly staff, wifi in rooms, close to metro.
Neighborhood not so good. Last minute option for a relatively cheap accommodation in Paris.
- very helpful and nice staff - the room and bathroom all clean
- the location - felt not so safe, although we haven't experienced any unpleasant encounters
nice staff, clean, not too expensive
wifi a little slow on third floor
Staff room hot water close to metro
Surrounding area externally the hotel needs a refurb
wi-fi is awesome. employees are really helpful.
location is really bad.
The location is good - near metro station and very close to Sacre-Coer. My room was rather small but tidy and I had my own sink in it as the WC was shared. The stuff was really helpful, towels and soap were changed everyday. A big supermarket at the other side of the street. The district is not so bad actually if you are used to living in big cities. I am a young girl travelling by myself and I felt rather safe walking to the hostel from metro station in the evening. Don't be afraid!
Really thin walls! One night I couldn't sleep because the woman next door was listening to music and I could hear every word of these french-rap-songs! No elevator and rather inconvenient staircases. If you have big suitcases or face some problems with climbing that's definitely not your hotel. I lived on the 4th floor and bathroom was on the 3d. Two showers - both extremely small and old. Only one WC on my floor, sometimes I had to wait or go to the other floor.
The hotel was lovely, the staff very nice and helpful too. Good, safe parking. The beds were very comfy. It was a convenient location in respect to it's proximity to Sacre Cour and the markets but a little bit dodgy.
Unfortunately perhaps due to the age of the plumbing system there was a constant smell of sewerage in the bathroom. I felt a little unsafe in the street as there were a number of undesirable people in the immediate area.
An easy walk from Montmartre.
It's obviously inconvenient to have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the nearest toilet or two flights of stairs to use the shared shower, but we'd have coped with that for a couple of nights; what made for a nightmarish stay was the level of noise. Not just the traffic on a road that seems to be in constant use throughout the night, but the shouting and other sounds of carnage that continued well into the small hours. There was no air conditioning and the little rooms heat up a fair bit so we had to keep the window open, resulting in a pretty sleepless time. Since some of the shouting came from the hotel itself and one morning revealed a bench outside the front door to have been ripped up, one has to question how safe an area this is to stay at all.
Staffs know English and they were helpful. Room was clean and it cleaned everyday. TV, Wifi and bed were good. it is very close to Sacre Coeur, which is reached by walking. There are very nice supermarket around hotel. Specially Carrefour was the best for my dinner. Hotel is very close Château Rouge Metro station. At the first, around hotel doesn't look like safe. but I stayed outside until 22:00(local) in July, and I don't see any problem. After that time, I don't know.
Only thing about room, there was no hair dryer.
Friendly helpful staff and comfortable room at a good price
Maybe not the best location for lone female travellers - I wasn't very comfortable with the walk from the Metro to the hotel late at night, though it was at least short
Close to metro and big super market. Staff are really helpful.
The street seems to be a little unsafe at night, sometimes fighting. There was no any air condition, it was really hot inside, when you open the window, the noise would bother you.
Staff very friendly and polite, great location, close to the metro, clean.
Next door neighbors were rude and noisy. The walls are thin and you can hear everything
Room was clean
Only 1 dirty shower for the entire hotel Unsafe area - lots of street sellers and con-artists etc
Comfortable, clean room
The location wasn't the best, but it was adequate for a budget traveler.
Friendly and relaxed staff. Helped with carrying our luggage and down a tricky staircase. Nice breakfast. Good location to metro stations. Carrefour just across the street!
La rue Barbes is fairly noisy.
The employees very kind, frienly and helpfull. The apartment was cleaned every day.The hotel is clean and silent. Thanks a lot!
