Score from 376 reviews Very good
good location, great restaurants near by
bit shabby, very basic,
We enjoyed the short walk to notre dame and that the hotel was surrounded by a great many restaurants and cafés.
There wasn't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
The staff were as helpful as they could be, given the various malfunctions that took place during my 6-day stay there, and universally pleasant. The surrounding area is interesting, and one that is not well-known to most foreign tourists.
The lift broke down regularly (my room was on the 3rd floor), the wi-fi was very erratic (fortunately, there was a Starbucks nearby), and the electronic door lock occasionally refused to accept my key card. The breakfast was 'basic', to say the least.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was quite comfortable, and the pillows. Great area - restaurants, cafes, cabs
The promised Wifi in my room wasn't available except once for a short period on the last night. Disappointed as I had planned to catch up on correspondence in the evenings. The broken chipboard panel over the toilet was a little unsightly and could harbour germs. The shower curtain was hanging by only a few of its rings which made it flap and stick to the body. The lift was not working for the first little while. Four flights is a long way up. The walls are VERY thin. :(
- excellent wifi - staff are nice and helpfull - location is ok - our room had a balcony which was nice.
- the hotel has a lot of maintenance issues: electricity went down for few hours, the elevator broke down on our third day and we had to go all the way up to the fifth floor by stairs. - room is very small. - the location is ok but not the best one. its near the metro station but the line that goes by there (number 7) is not a main line and we had to switch lines all the time.
Location. Very near to the Metro.
Small bathroom. And can hear noisy next doors
Location close to metro station
Staff very helpful in finding a more suitable room. Good breakfast, continental
Dark, stuffy, noisy room. Didn't sleep at all the first night due to someone's crying baby, noisy stairwell etc... When mentioned this, the staff kindly moved us to a room away from the stairwell. Soooo much better.
The staff were very efficient, cordial and totally helpful. Excellent location. Great choice of nearby restaurants. I upgraded my hotel to 3 stars* out of fear of trying another 2* in the area as there for 1 week on business.
The establishment merits only 1*, if that. Room too small; noisy guests; outdated and worn out appliances; dirty shower with hair in it and no water pressure; smelly elevator big enough for only 1 person.
Ok for a group of men or women but not couples. Easy to travel to from Orly airport.
Was overcharged 20 Euros when paying at end of stay. Rooms could do with freshening up. Small rooms.
Comfortable, clean, friendly, well kept hotel. Lovely part of paris, easy to access the centre, just a pleasant 20 minute walk away
Rooms small but thats normail in europe and wifi limited to just one connection per person, which is annoying if u have a phone and tablet or laptop
Excellent staff, greeted me with fresh OJ once he saw I was weary from travel. Outstanding classic euro hospitality/facility/breakfast. Location is great in terms of proximity. Elegant and reasonably-priced restaurant across the street.
Parking is offsite a few blocks. Sex shops and lots of shady characters on the streets between the parking and the hotel. Did not feel safe going between them, but maybe I'm just the nervous type....
location of hotel is good for a quiet stay Parking nearby, Metro nearby, friendly helpful staff.
price quality relationship maybe "normal" for Paris but is far below similar price offers outside the city
Didn't have the breakfast but loads of excellent bakeries around the place. Perfect location for the metro
Really thin walls
Location, free wifi, elevator, quiet room, clean room and bed.
Friendly staff, very helpful. Storage space for suitcases before check in and for check out.
No side plates for breakfast told to use saucer. Only one spoon to use for tea and yogurt.
Within 5 mins' walk to the metro station, Censier-Daubenton, and within 20 mins' to Gare d'Austerlitz station.
Great value and the location was very close to the train station and plenty of restaurants. The room had a nice balcony and a 24 hr attendant at the hotel.
Overall the hotel was very good until we had to check out. We were incorrectly charged for an additional night on the day that we left. It felt very fishy, almost as a type of tourist trap! Beware and cover in advance with the hotel all of the charges that you will be responsible for!
the staff were really friendly, especially the breakfast staff. lovely view from balcony,
the bed was propped up using batteries in a pack. it was meant to be a large room but was very small. the bathroom had mould and there was cables on view via the hairdryer and not sealed over.
Very friendly staff, everything was superclean, comfortable
In our room were "night-lights" that cannot be turned off, Wifi was only working with one device and had a limited validity that had to be renewed
The hotel location is quite central, there is a metro stop only a few metres away, there is a boulangerie across the road where you can get breakfast if you don't want to do it at the hotel.
location - easy access to city attractions, beautiful neighborhood, great for walking, Starbuck's, markets nearby. Very quaint.
nothing - loved it all
Staff was friendly enough until they nearly made us miss our flight and robbed us of 15
Room was poorly lit, with a musty smell hanging about. Every step someone took in the hotel could be heard There is a 2 device limit to the wifi that is overly complicated to log into. Main complaint was the shuttle bus disaster. The seemingly super friendly staff offer to arrange a shuttle bus that would be cheaper than taxi. After paying about half of the money up front (15 euro) The shuttle arrived 20 min late, and halfway the ride i manage to pry from the completely incompetent and rude driver that he is not on he's way to the airport but he is picking up more clients instead, and that we will never make it in time So we had no choice to dump the shuttle in favor of a cab and forfeit on the deposit money
Would have preferred breakfast buffet where I could select. Choice was rather poor for the price of the hotel.
1. location is great! it`s in a silent and safe district, and just 1 min walk to Metro 7 Station Censier Daubenton, and there are starbucks\supermarket\restaurants nearby. 2. Staff at desk is friendly and helpful, especially the golden hair man. 3. Room is cleaned everyday, and room 54-56 have a bacony each.
well, all acceptable~
