Great hotel.

The rooms are quite large, particularly for Paris. Loved all the counter space in the bathroom. Our room had a little kitchenette which was very useful. We were there for 2 short nights and would have loved to stay there longer. When leaving early Sunday morning the young man @ the front desk was very helpful with our luggage and the door.

The night checking in, the front desk attendants didn't provide assistance opening the outer door which was rather inconvenient for us and rude of them. The interior door was automatic so no problem there. However when trying to open the outer door with all our luggage was rather awkward with the 2 of them just sitting there staring at us. If they had even made an attempt, we would have appreciated the effort.

The staff excellent - friendly, helpful and tolerant of my "French". Location of the hotel is excellent, one metro / RER stop from Gare du Nord and ideally positioned for most of the Paris sites. We were in Paris for my wifes 50th, and a card and small gift were waiting for us when we arrived. Room was spacious and comfortable, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet was good, good choice and plenty of it. Very relaxed and relaxing atmosphere - merci beaucoup!

We have finally found a home in Paris! Hotel De l'Arcade was excellent. The location was great, the room spacious as advertised - a rarity in Paris, and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We can't say enough positive things about this hotel. We stayed for the Paris Marathon and it was a perfect base for us and our toddler.

The breakfast was nothing special, but still perfectly fine if you are pressed for time. There is a nice cafe just 100 meters from the hotel that we preferred.

The Hotel had good decor, the rooms were nicely furnished, nice bath room, helpful and friendly staff they could all speak English.

The location was excellent for central Paris. The reception staff were the most friendly and helpful staff we have found at any hotel - and we have stayed in many around the world. There are a good number of restaurants in the area.

There are no facilities for drinks in the small lounge although the staff did make us tea and you can have room service. The breakfast for 15 e was expensive for cold buffet eg. You had to pay extra for an egg !

Trace cigarette smells in room and hallways was the one and only disappointment, but wouldn't deter us from returning.

We love the staff who are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. We can walk to most of the places we want to. We will be surely coming back for our next trips to Paris.
