Hôtel de l'Aveyron

This originally Danish-owned Hotel has changed owners(?) and concept. It is now a hotel similiar to other low-budget hotels in Paris.

Central in Paris, near the rail station Gare de Lyon, a good ratio quality / price

Old, worn and tired. Needs a clean. Room very small. Could not turn round in bathroom.

It was walking distance from Station

The room was too small. There is no lift to 3rd floor as well... we had to carry our luggage ourselves.

Near Lyon station. Much better than the hotel in Amsterdam, with the same price. Clean. Very nice neiborhood

No elevator as well. Sometimes strange smell in the lobby.

I liked the hotel staff, very friendly and cooperative. The location is very good.

Location, perfect place if you are just looking for a place to sleep while you explore the city! I would stay here again. I was in room 52 on the top floor and that was plenty big for 2 persons for 3 nights.

Location is quite suitable for those who wish to take early morning train from Gare de Lyon.

I was given 3rd floor and was suppose to move with staircases. No lift facility in this hotel.

Excellent Location, nearest to the Lyon's Station

There is no elevator. So, if you walked a lot in Paris and/or You have bags. Enjoy the upstairs..

Room at the rear of the building resulting in no street noise.

I was on the 4th floor... about midnight somewhere above me sounded as if people were moving furniture or cleaning rooms or moving in and out. This continued for hours. I had asked specifically for a quiet room but after midnight, it became a nightmare.

It was in a good and safe area, a few minutes walk from Gare de Lyon and metro station. Rooms were a bit small, but adequate enough for a few nights stay.

It had no lift and we were staying at the 4th floor. Quite a pain taking our luggage all the way up. Also breakfast was not included in the price. It was not the cheapest of all in the end of the day.

Hotel was lovely and rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable! Brilliant location aswell! Would recommend.

Staff English wasn't very good.

Location - few minutes walk to Gare de Lyon, and to Seine and onward to tourist areas. Free wifi worked very well.

Smallest bathroom in the world, almost unfit for purpose. Had to sit sideways on toilet as it had been crammed in at an angle against the shower cubicle. Had to have bathroom door open to open shower door. Had to kneel on toilet to use sink. Sink tiny and with shelf immediately above made it impossible to use properly. Bedroom small and hard to move around. Was not worth the price charged.

Everything....the worse experience in my live.....

We thought for the price we paid in Paris, it was just what we needed - a bed and a shower and close enough to the metro. In terms of location though, it isn't a great deal close to the main attractions but we walk everywhere so for us, it wasn't too bad. Also we liked the fact it was walking distance to Berly station where we caught the long distance bus to amsterdam.

The staff is the worse you will ever find. Don't expect them to be forthcoming in helping you find anything. Not that we ever asked because we've been to Paris before and we know how to get around. But the service is abrupt. They will not help you open any doors even though they are sitting there doing nothing and you've got tons of bags to carry. The hotel is ONLY good for seasoned travellers who need minimal to no help getting around in Paris. So for us, it worked.

Quiet street and very central. Real good food round the corner for any meal anytime.

Location was not good and parking is not close, hard to find with staff directions and then very expensive, in an ubderground public parking space. Room was basic and staff struggled with English.

Location itself is good

Noisy neighbors did not bother hotel administrator at all. He felt like not doing anything at all. In combination with uncomfortable bed, i had difficult to sleep nights.

The double room was only with one bed, also the room was tiny also as bathroom.

Breakfast was not good. Poor og bad lightning in basement where breakfast was served.

Location

No elevator. It might be a problem for the visitor with heavy luggage. The reception is not friendly at all. This would be my last choice when going to Paris again.

convenient for Gare de Lyon

no lift and no help with luggage, so make sure you ask for lower floors so you don't have to climb the 70! steps to the fourth floor.
