Situated close to Bastille and Gare de Lyon, this family-run hotel has rooms in a French style. Hotel de Venise’s wood furnishings give the hotel a traditional feel.

for the price you pay in paris which I know well, this place is good, I stayed in hotels in the same street with more stars but about same service. the location is very good near gare de lyon, and metro. my single room I must say was very tiny but cover my needs, I have not seen the size of others rooms. I slept well anyway.
There are no positives except the location.
Unfriendly Staff. A client was complaining about her dirty room and two other staff members were laughing at her in the laundry room. Avoid the "suite" which is a big dark room with one window that looks into the laundry room(that's how I know about the laughing) This place is fine if you must be near the train station (1 night only) and nothing else is available; otherwise avoid it.
Although the room is small, facilities are ok. The location is very convenient.
This hotel is one star and doesnt claim to be otherwise. We spent two nights here and will stay here again. Location is great near to Gare de Lyon and Austerlitz ie metro... plus near to cafes and supermarket. We are mature backpackers so travel on a budget but do like clean handy hotels. Yes there is no lift, a tiny room and bathroom and the floor is uneven but we were in Paris! How much time do you spend in your room?. We were on the third floor up tiny stairs but this is the charm of history! Backstreet Paris played like a movie on the street below but we were high enough for it not to bother us and we slept with the window open. 5 euro breakfast was croissants juice and good coffee...enough to start the day. Bed was firm and really comfortable. We were able to store backpacks there free for 9 hours before our night train!
Staff appeared a bit uninterested but pleasant enough.
Changed our room for the second night to the ground floor. It was bigger and quieter.
We are in our seventies and there was no lift and no offer of assistance to carry bags to the third floor. The en-suite was too small.
Bathroom was big.
No lift. Breakfast not worth. Rooms extremely small and conjusted.
the tripple room was very small and single bed was lopsided
Closeness to most of the landmarks you would want to see. Nice restaurants and bars close by.
Close to 3 stations with a variety of restaurants nearby. A supermarket and a laundrette were also nearby. Rooms were adequate and value for money.
At the time of booking I didn't realise there wasn't a refrigerator but it was easy to adjust.
- Close to Gare de Lyon - Bed was good and comfortable. - Breakfast was okay compared to 5euro price. - Staffs were helpful. They let us manage hot water from the kitchen.
- Room was so small and poor ventilation. - Toilet tissue and soap were provided on the second day. - There was no wifi signal AT ALL at the 5th floor. They also did not fix it after repetitive complain. - No elevator. Scary and dark rounded staircase. - Toilet in our room was slippery and wet.
Basic but clean and convenient for Gare de Lyon
Closeness to the station
Broken tiles in the bathroom guests in and out all night, small rooms
Very close to gare de lyon
- Online pictures are mileading - rooms are extremely small and crumbling - 5 floors but NO elevator - over rated and over priced
room is too small
the stuff was helpful
ıt is diffucult to find the hotel!!!!
Good location Nice staff
Towels were changed day by day, but ALL of them were torn. The pillow cover was not clean - There was a blood spot on it. The bed was old - not comfortable at all The wall was dirty! Bathroom was useless - TOO SMALL!
Location close to river
Basic breakfast Room very small Spiral stairs
The kitchenette was spacious, clean, nicely furnished, well located with no traffic noise and had complimentary wifi. We could not ask for more. Valerie and Gerald were fabulous and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend.
Everything was to our satisfaction.
No lift and no help getting bags to the fifth floor!
This place was clean, safe, convenient, and extremely cost effective. It lacks some amenities of bigger more expensive hotels but for the money well worth it. It doesn't have AC, at least not in the room we stayed, but the weather was perfect to open the window and be comfortable so watch the time if year and weather if booking here or make sure you get a room with AC if needed. I wouldn't stay here for a long visit to Paris but if your only there a few days and out most of the time, this is a great bargain.
No AC and no amenities like bar, restaurant, fitness room, pool, etc. larger hotels may have.
For the price I got it was a good deal. The room was small but since we only used it to sleep it wasn't an issue. It was clean and the wifi worked well enough. Very close to Gare the Lyon and Gare d'Austerlitz.
Location was great for Gare de Lyon. It was a lot nicer than I expected for the price!
Breakfast -A bit of bread and some some tea and juice. Wasn't the best breakfast I've ever had. Up many flights of stairs! Shower was really rather small!
Support from staff and location
No lift facility for higher floors
The location was good from accessibility point of view.
I did not know I would take luggage up to 4th floor on very narrow, dark staircases. The rooms are very very small and the interior/furniture was quite old.
