Hôtel de l'Horloge  

Das Hotel hat eine gute und vor allem sehr zentrale Lage und ist daher idealer Ausgangspunkt für eine Erkundung der Stadt.

Die zentrale Lage direkt an den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt. Die Nachtruhe ist gewährleistet. Preis für Frühstück ist relativ hoch.

Perfekte Lage, direkt neben dem Papstpalast - sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, sogar eine freundliche Deutsche! Nicht von der Aussenfassade abschrecken lassen!!!

The concierge was excellent and helpful. The hotel is wonderfully central on the main square. The top floor Privilege room was very good and although facing away from the square was very quiet and the very large veranda are was sun-filled throughout the day with large comfortable lounge chairs. The veranda had a high wall around it which was good for privacy but there were no views available. There was an additional outdoor shower on the veranda. There are lots of places around to have breakfast. The boat trip to Arles was great and 5 course meal was superb. The wine tasting trip to Chateaux neuf de pape, orange, and the pont be Gare bridge was amazing

Excellent location, very helpful staff- all speak English. We upgraded to a "Privilege Room". It was 40 Euros more per night but we found the extra space and sitting area quite worth it. It was also on the 4th floor further.away from the busy street below. All in all we were very pleased

VEry well positioned Avignon, in a nice building, near everything you would want to do or see.

We stayed at the Hotel de L'Horloge during the Festival d'Avignon. You could not ask for a better location -- right in the center of town overlooking the main square very close to the Palais des Papes. We were treated to wandering musicians and street performances of many of the Festival's plays. The hotel itself was very restful with comfortable beds, helpful staff and a good breakfast in the restaurant next door, where children twelve and under ate for free. Some guide books advise not to visit Avignon during the festival in July, but I would disagree. For culture vultures or anyone wanting to take part in a vibrant summer street scene, Avignon is a must! Book early if you are visiting in July. You will be happy you did!

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and on both occasions the experiance was more than satisfactory. It's location, attention to detail (in the rooms especialy) and the helpful staff make it one of the best hotels in its class i have had the pleasure to stay in.

There is nothing I did not like about the hotel but the parking could be quite difficult for some people driving, as a sugestion maybe the hotel in future could offer some form of valet parking

The price and location for a corner prestige double room cannot be beat!

A warm welcome on arrival, clear and helpful information. Room spotlessly clean, big, with plenty of complimentaries in the bathroom and tea/coffee/biscuits tray. Excellent service, fresh sheets and towels every day. Hotel is bang in the centre of Avignon, overlooking main square and right by shops, restaurants, palace, daily market. Would stay here again very happily and recommend without hesitation.
