Hôtel de l'Horloge    

The location was perfect right in the centre of town on Place de l'Horlage and very close to the Palais du Papes.

We booked a superior room, which was nice but very small. I am not convinced we weren't put in a standard room.

Location, location, location. Plus staff and facilities everything you could ask for.

We liked the hotel ,but our room was small, we expected a deluxe room. The bed took up the entire room . Since it was for one day we did not complain. But we were disapointed.

Centrally located. And nice staff. Exactly what I was looking for - in the old city and lots of charm.

Smaller room but comfortable nonetheless. Can't say much for the breakfast.

Excellent location, good, clean, friendly, good value for money. Nothing to not like and I've already recommended to friends that are going in the summer.

We stayed here twice and would come again. The bed and rooms are great, excellent facilities and easy staff. Internet works well in the room. Only glitch was the gps not quite getting us there, but that's not the Hotel's fault.

Standard rooms are very small. To stay comfortably, you will have to upgrade.

Wonderful location close to le Palais des Papes and associated buildings. It is also right on the main restaurant area of Avignon. The breakfast was superb and fortified us for fairly hectic days sightseeing.

We had the window open and there was a considerable amount of noise in the early morning from laundry delivery to the hotel and from council workers cleaning the town hall square. One of the men at Reception was a bit snooty.

Ideal central location in Avignon. Staff who were helpful and friendly both at reception and in the light airy breakfast room (plenty of choices for breakfast). Having BBC1 was a bonus! The room was well appointed, spotless and the bed comfortable.

Being in the centre of Avignon it was noisy with a main thoroughfare directly below my window - traffic almost non-stop so it was a choice of keeping the (good double-glazed) windows closed or having noise and fumes in my room. (I was on the first floor in 106)

Staff were lovely, we were upgraded to a suite and it was lovely. Breakfast a little expensive but very nice. Great position in centre of old city, great restaurants all around.

This hotel is situated in the best possible location in Avignon, in the Place D'Horloge, nearby the main attractions of the city and several very good restaurants and "cafes". The building is beautiful, being part of the architectural ensemble of the square, and its rooms are confortable. The staff is also very courteus.

The bathroom has no air heating system; in the winter days (as the ones I spent there), this may constitute a problem.

The room was very nice. The small details in the room really enhanced the experience. The location is one of the best in Avignon. You can't get more center then this hotel. Great launching point! The breakfast was also very good!

We thought the breakfast was included with the room. But it wasn'T. Breakfast was 15 euro a person and it is self-serve. You could get better value for your money at a local cafe.

Very nice hotel. Walk 5 minutes to Palaisdes Papes and 10 minutes further could go toPont d'Avignon, which have Chinese audio guides so very easy to feel the beauty of architecture and history. Hotel is also just next to shopping and restaurant area, so convenient to enjoy shopping, lunch, coffee, icecream! And hotel itself has a nice restaurant section nearby the street, breakfast service is nice.

Everything was perfect for us. We had the large corner room facing the "Place De L'horloge". People with heavy suitcases be aware that you might have to carry luggage up/down a few stairs to your room. Different levels out of elevator. To be expected in old buildings in Europe. The underground "Parking des Papes" location is very easy to find/reach by car and pedestrian exit 200 yards from hotel.

The Location is very good!

The hotel put me in a first time at a noise room in first floor, and they aready knew about that. I coud not sleep and when I asked to change the room at 23:30, they did it immediately. The internet and wifi were terrible!

The location of the hotel was excellent for visits to the most important historical sites as well as for the informal, unguided walks throughout the city. Also, it was easy to get to the train station for visits to other cities nearby such as Orange & Arles.
