Well located close to town centre and tourist sights. Bus to/from train station stops very close by. Room was tidy, staff helpful and polite. No problems overall. No tea coffee making facilities. No lift, bear this in mind if you have problems negotiating stairs. Internet access a little patchy at times.

Staff was great. Unbelievably friendly and helpful. I was greeted by name each time I went in and out. We requested a quiet room and got one on an inner courtyard that was nearly silent. We had a little problem with another guest smoking outside our bathroom window - they offered to move us to another room, which we declined, and so they moved the table, chairs, and ashtray. I would stay here again. Room was tiny (as evidently are the others) and the shower was basically a curtain around a corner of the bathroom so after a shower the whole floor was wet.

Lovely, generous reception when we arrived after closing time was such a pleasure after a stressful 45 minutes trying to navigate the car to the hotel through Strasbourg's inner city streets. A haven - comfortable room, excellent breakfast, really helpful staff and very affordable. Could not be faulted.

Great staff, very helpful and nice. Perfect location because not far from city center (less than 10 min walking to the cathedral) and just along the river shores. Calm street, so no problem if you have to rest. the hotel is very clean and comfortable. Excellent value! I recommend.

The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. The rooms were very clean and quiet. Comfortable mattresses. Excellent breakfast. Great location within minutes of the Notre-Dame cathedral. Neighbourhood full of excellent restaurants. The owner (Veronique) is especially considerate and welcoming. It is clear that I will return to l'Hôtel de l'Ill on my next visit in Strasbourg. The lack of an elevator could be a problem for some people. On a technical point, the Internet firewall protections allow web browsing but block ssh remote logins.

The staff at Hotel De L'ill were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to fulfill requests. The hotel is located on a fairly quiet street and is conviently located to explore Strasbourg.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und einfach zu finden. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich, zuvorkommend, sehr hilfsbereit und man kann auf deutsch, französisch und englisch kommunizieren. Die Zimmer sind nicht riesig, aber modern ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Auf Nachfrage konnte außerdem ein gutes, preisgünstiges Restaurant in der Nähe empfohlen werden, das in der Tat ausgezeichnet war.

Nous avons aimé la situation, proche de la cathédrale et de la Petite France mais loin de l'agitation, l'accueil du personnel (qui nous a autorisés à prendre la chambre dès 11h au lieu de 14h), la bagagerie (bien pratique quand on a une visite à faire), le Wifi. Nous recommandons vivement l'hôtel et nous y retournerons certainement si nous retournons à Strasbourg.

Situation ideale de l'hotel proche de la cathedrale,marché de noel,restos,boutique et sapin.bon accueil a notre arrivée par le gerant,toujours disponible.parking:11euros/24H dans la rue d'a coté.chambre propre mais petite surtout la salle de bain.bon rapport qualité prix et bon sejour dans l'ensemble. Café du petit dej pas tres bon!

Hotel très calme situé à 200m du centre ville - pas besoin de la voiture de tout pendant notre séjour. Personnel très agréable avec plein de bon conseils. Petit déjeuner très bon et copieux. Seul bémol : Le ramassage des poubelles un matin un peu bruyant.
