Hotel De L'Océan  

As the hotel was quiet we were upgraded to a bigger room on the front with a balcony which was lovely. Views of the lighthouse and the sea but still handy for shops and restaurants.

I thinkthe hotel is expensive, but given its postion i can understand why.

We absolutely loved everything about the hotel. The team who run it are fantastic - young, fun, efficient, endlessly helpful - I have never felt so welcome anywhere. The lack of formality is wonderfully relaxing. The location is perfect. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the service at all times top class. We liked the slight quirkiness of the place - it is unusual, a little "wacky" which we particularly liked, and completely unstuffy. Our room was fabulous, with an ocean view. We will definitely be back and have already recommended it to many friends this weekend on our return to London. Thank you, Hotel De L'Ocean!

Excellent location with sea views

Stay ruined by poor staff who were inefficient, incompetent, rude and arrogant. Shame really as the hotel itself is very nice. Complained at the time but not much improvement. Desk was often left unattended with access to room keys. We often took ours without challenge. A real security risk. Have stayed at this hotel before and had no complaints but now it is poor.

Pleasant & relaxing environment with very welcoming and friendly staff. A superb location overlooking the sea. Biarritz is an attractive & interesting place with sandy beaches etc. The town has an air of 'top quality' about it.

Super emplacement, personnel trés agréable et compétant.Parking souterrain devant l'hotel exeptionnel à Biarritz.

La qualité du logis initialement proposé était très médiocre, salle de bain sombre avec vieil éclairage, chambre mal décorée....sur réclamation immédiate, et après visite de trois autres chambres de même mauvaise qualité....il m'a enfin été proposé une chambre "correcte", très lumineuse en journée mais avec des pannes électriques sur les luminaires qui ont été réparées le dernier jour! A noter cependant que le responsable hotelier nous a "offert" les trois derniers jours, un déjeuner complet (buffet) en compensation, notamment en raison d'un non changement de draps par la société extérieure qui assure le ménage (ceci est un bon point)....et que le personnel de l'hotel était parfait! Point positif également: l'offre de foie gras et champagne dans le restaurant de l'hotel....rarement mangé un aussi bon foie! Et le restaurant a un bon rapport qualité/prix.
