The bathroom smell

Good location. It's located in the heart of the old town, right next to the theater. The breakfast was decent.

Very noisy! There is a bar on the first floor of the building. Dance music was pounding through around 2:00 in the morning. Note that we stayed there in the middle of the week. I'd imagine it is worse on Fridays and Saturdays with the crowds. Also, the shower area was not clean and run down. Overall, it was an uncomfortable stay.

Unbeatable location, clean, cheap, fit for purpose, very helpful reception (even if in a different hotel around the corner) and free wifi

My bed had a plastic mattress cover (probably for kids) which made the bed feel awful. I had to undo the bed and remove it. The mattress were bent and too old. Tiny shower, water got splashed outside the courtain

Our friends had a room which smelled a lot of blocked toilet, even though the toilet was flushed the smell remained.

I liked very much the location and the way of coming in and out (no reception), the elevator, the room and the bathroom (everything is simple but clean and comfortable)

I didn't like the the bed in the room - there were two of us and the bed was only one and very narrow for two, and only one blanket. We were given another blanket after asking for it, but took it away the next day for some reasons.

Its location - central for the sites of Bordeaux. Quiet - at least it was in the 5th floor at the back.

The fact that you have to check in at a different hotel and cannot get into the room until 2pm. The room was very hot during a heat wave in Bordeaux and remained hot and humid all night even with the window open. To me it was pricey for the sort of hotel it is - but then Bordeaux may just be a pricey town for hotels (although the restaurants were reasonable).

the dirty pavement at the entrance door is a definite put off, and attention to room & bathroom maintenance is needed.

Situation would make me return but not the service.

The Reception was at the sister hotel Quatre Soeurs and there was no warning of this at reservation. Having to move luggage to the other hotel to get the key and then return was not good. More emphasis should have been that it was a Bed & Breakfast annexe. Had I known, I would have booked at 4 Soeurs. Servicing of the rooms was poor. My bed was not made up on one occasion and the boite a ordures was not emptied for 3 days.

Location is great! As well as the price.

Absence of the airconditioning in the summertime makes the stay not very comfortable.

This is not a hotel. You have to walk to another nearby hotel for reception. There you get an access code to enter the desolate sleeping facility. The reported 24 hour front desk is therefore not true. Rooms are very small, old, non-decorated, low standards, and have no view on anything. This also seems to be the reason there are only pictures of the charming outside of the hotel, none of the rooms, which is unfair. The toilet was funny, about the size I was used to at kindergarten. You can hear music of the dancing next-door (softly, till about 01:00), the reported soundproofed rooms are thus not adequate. Breakfast is extra charged, which is insane if you are located in an area with nice sunny terraces with fairly priced café and croissants. This type of hotel can be exactly what you need, if only it was reported as such in the description and photos. Otherwise, it is bound to be a deception.
