The location. Proximity to key attractions. Large room and recently refurbished bathroom amenities. Shower water pressure excellent. Secured parking (although tight-spaced and not terribly clean). We understand the old charm is the selling point of this hotel, but we think we're done with that now and prefer new or renovated hotels. Everything was so old and tired - room deco, bed sheets, furniture, dingy blanket, austentatious ceiling upholstery, etc. |

This hotel is located in the very very convenient down twon Tours. Close to city hall, SNCF- the railway station, the famous department store - La Fayette, La Poste - the post office, supermarket, bar, restaurant, cathedral, Leona de Vince - the theatre, cinema, museum, old twon, ... all are in walking distance. The front desk are very nice and helpful. |

The room was large and comfortable. Also had character - wood panelling and wallpaper. The staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke good English. Good accessable car parking. Bathroom a bit tired looking. |

The on-site restaurant was accomodating to late arrival, with well prepared food. Front desk staff was genial, helpful. Felt past it's prime-in gentle decline |

Beautiful hotel in a splendid City. Very pleasant welcome and a really lovely room. Excellent location too. The bar was shut. SkyNews was off and BBC News was not working which isn't great for a hotel of this calibre. I parked my motorcyle in a bay and went to my room for a sleep and was then woken an hour later with a phone call asking me to move the bike as they had special places for them - I was not told this on check-in. |

Convenient location close to the venue I was attending, but due to whatever reasons a little pricey for the level in a smallish place like Tours. Breakfast was quite ok, but for this price it could have had a wider selection of foods. |
