In the heart of the Loire Valley and in the center of the city of Tours, this hotel features many advantages for business and leisure stays.
Score from 247 reviews Good
The hotel, and particularly the staff, was excellent! Room, very contemporary design, was perfect for us. Location is just superb. Having on site parking was a REALLY big deal!
The location. Tour is a good place to visit the Loire region and its castles. The centrum was easy to reach.
Good location in centre of town. Secure parking, handy if you have been buying some of the excellent local wines. Our room was excellent with lots of hanging space for clothes.
Breakfast on one day was rather disorganised.
good location, parking not identified very well.
Bar not open, Friday early evening, breakfast drinks not hot and lack of them. whole place didn't feel welcoming
updated rooms great wi-fi great location friendly/accomodating staff
outdated lobby breakfast not past 10am difficult to find in the dark
New clean room
Central location, lots of restaurants within walking distance Quiet, comfortable room Bedrooms and corridors recently refurbished - very modern and glass pod bathroom a bit quirky. Breakfast pricey but better selection of food and cheaper than restaurants nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. A good central city hotel but could do with a better restaurant and bar.
Difficult to park nearby and hotel car park expensive and very difficult to negotiate with large car Lack of facilities within hotel - bar was only open on the Friday and Saturday night Restaurant looked basic and unappealing so always ate out. Public areas in need of refurbishment Bathroom in our room was a glass pod in the corner and open along top of glass divider so no sound proofing or privacy - could be a problem if sharing with anybody other than a partner. Toilet in separate tiny room.
Staff...great! Private car parking....although it cost 15 euros...the car was safe and parked under the hotel!...made leaving with suitcases easier too!
Bit out of old town....too far to walk into for dinner. Small, uninviting restaurant. Some rooms have been refurbished (and we had one of these) but it was rather austere...needs "warmth". SOON....the reception area will be refurbished...it is a tad tired at the moment...I Hope it's "warmer" than the rooms though!
Nice big, comfortable room. Good clean bathroom, which includes a bath and not just a shower, plenty of storage, good hair-dryer. Convenient location.
Reception/communal area shabby, could do with a lick of paint, a good clean and a few repairs ! The inside of the Display cases for luxury goods were covered in dust and dead flies lay on the glass shelving. A male receptionist was perfunctory, not particularly warm or welcoming.
Foyer is beautiful. Room was large and modern... very well designed and the bathroom was superb.
Not a complaint but considering how wonderful the entrance, foyer and rooms were, the lifts were shabby, dated and small but this as I say is a very minor observation not a complaint.
When you can say the beds are so comfortable and lovely linen, that should be good enough. The staff were friendly and efficient, but we did not really have to test them. Garage right in the hotel. No complaints.
Very comfortable bed
Tiny room without closet (room 201)
Wonderful and really big room.
Contrast between rooms and reception, elevator and general aspect.
the beautifuly renovated room, the comfortable bed.
the public areas, lobby and elevator in terrible condition.Should be renovated as soon as possible.
Old world charm of the lounge area. Helpfulness of reception. Quality of breakfast.
Bar closed for holidays. Restaurant disappointing. Breakfast facilities oversubscribed.
The bar was closed for two weeks !!! If you did not eat in the restaurant no drinks ,you should have at least advised us of this prior to booking !, I understand that it was the bar keepers annual holiday , so is it mine , I expect the bar keeper went somewhere he could get a drink !!!! .
City centre location, secure parking, general ambiance of hotel.
Easy location to drive to...parking garage for our car...very helpful staff...beaufiful quiet room. Lovely hotel.
The restaurant recommended to us, Le Turon, was a disappointment.
Modern room / great bed / great bathroom
Tired outdated dirty hotel. Dead atmosphere, stained carpets, clashing decor, bare walls in dining room. Churchill died 50 years ago - can't keep trading on that!
Location, price and quality
Reception staff a little cold albeit helpful
Dirty floor in bathroom and toilet
Perfect location to explore the Loire Valley as it is central to the region. There's a great flower market on Saturdays just outside the hotel and the historic part of town and shopping is just a 5 min walk away. Beautiful rooms with new fixtures, modern decor and spotlessly clean. Although located on busy street there is absolutely no traffic noise due to new windows. Lots of light from these large windows and high ceilings. Beds are firm and comfortable, even pull out couch. Air conditioning was very good and staff was friendly and helpful.
WiFi is good. Not sure if this is bad or good but the elevator has a charming 'clunk' when reaching the floor both going up and going down.
The room was large and quiet
The breakfast was a little bit poor, not adequate for a 4-stars Hotel. There was not any minibar, also this not so adequate for a 4-stars Hotel
They double charged me and now I am in a position of having to fight to get my money back, from people that are a few hundred miles away.
Historic place and great location. Nice full breakfast as well.
