The location was perfect, right in the walled city of St.Malo and within walking distance of both the ferry port and the train station. And it had the most comfortable bed of our entire two week trip to France! |

Ideal stopover accomodation after ferry from Portsmouth, the location in the old town area was superb. Private parking would be advantageous. |

Silence and services at very good level. Very good location because "intramuros", so no need to use car during the week-end. No dedicated parking ... Parks are in the city streets, and finding available places is challenging. In addition, you must pay for parks everyday, including sundays and days-off and it is expensive : 1.1Euros to 1.5 Euros per hour. |

Friendly staff, good location, impressive frontage to hotel and room was comfortable. The impressive frontage, reception and bar were not matched by the rather dowdy corridors and the room could have done with decorating. |

Good location with good value and very helpful and friendly staff. One let-down was that the locking device for raising the shower head was in need of repair and the shower was only usable at its lowest level. |

Very convenient location in St. Malo, and has a certain faded grandeur charm to it. |

The hotel location is excellent and to sit and enjoy coffee and drinks outside was lovely. The cafe creme is excellent and by far the best that we sampled in Brittany. The rooms are rather shabby and dark. |

The building itself, its central location. Service was friendly and correct once it was discovered that the hotel had made a mistake and not put enough beds in our room The breakfast, very little choice and no value for money. The fruit salad tasted like fish sauce. |

The hotel staff were very polite and accommodating i.e. I could occupy my room early as it was ready and they stored my luggage so i could have a full day sightseeing before catching the train. The location was perfect, the staff excellent room was small and very dark, so okay for 1 night, not longer |

It's a perfect location for St. Malo. I found myself in the dead center of everything that was going on. I wish I'd asked for a fan. I had the windows open, but I still would have liked a fan. |

Not many hotels have family rooms and so this was a definate advantage of this hotel The noise from the bars below was excessive and went on until well into the small hours. Perhaps family rooms could be located away from the bars. |

Situated in central plaza area, surrounded by several other hotels, many restaurants/cafes. The reception staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel & rooms are clean. Rooms in need re-furbishment, breakfast choice for 9 euros the usual limited offering found in many french hotels of this rating. But ok. |

The hotel is in an excellent position with easy access to city and beaches. The staff were helpful, our rooms were clean and comfortable, the bar has some interesting photographs. We would be happy to return. |

Lovely comfortable room, very modern bathroom facilities, very clean, central heating worked, charming old fashioned furniture, desk staff very helpful, excellent english spoken, perfect central location for beach, shops and walking distance to the ferry port. Lift needs to be bigger and sadly breakfast was a little too expensive for us, we went to a nearby cafe instead. |

We requested a superior room. The room we were shown was anything but superior. We were given another room which was bigger but was very poorly decorated and finished. The bed was comfortable though. We had stayed at the hotel about 19 years ago- nothing much seems to have been done to upgrade and the standard of any improvements are very DIY and poorly finished. |
