Hotel De L'univers

The location was perfect, right in the walled city of St.Malo and within walking distance of both the ferry port and the train station. And it had the most comfortable bed of our entire two week trip to France!

Ideal stopover accomodation after ferry from Portsmouth,the location in the old town area was superb.

Private parking would be advantageous.

Silence and services at very good level. Very good location because "intramuros", so no need to use car during the week-end.

No dedicated parking ... Parks are in the city streets, and finding available places is challenging. In addition, you must pay for parks everyday, including sundays and days-off and it is expensive : 1.1Euros to 1.5 Euros per hour.

Good location with good value and very helpful and friendly staff.

One let-down was that the locking device for raising the shower head was in need of repair and the shower was only usable at its lowest level.

The hotel location is excellent and to sit and enjoy coffee and drinks outside was lovely. The cafe creme is excellent and by far the best that we sampled in Brittany.

Not many hotels have family rooms and so this was a definate advantage of this hotel

The noise from the bars below was excessive and went on until well into the small hours. Perhaps family rooms could be located away from the bars.

The hotel is in an excellent position with easy access to city and beaches. The staff were helpful, our rooms were clean and comfortable, the bar has some interesting photographs. We would be happy to return.

We have stayed many times before and it's good value, clean, convenient and the TV recieves British (Channel Island) TV. Good bar and nice restaurant.

Lovely comfortable room,very modern bathroom facilities, very clean, central heating worked, charming old fashioned furniture, desk staff very helpful, excellent english spoken, perfect central location for beach, shops and walking distance to the ferry port.

Lift needs to be bigger and sadly breakfast was a little too expensive for us, we went to a nearby cafe instead.
