Wonderful place to stay in the heart of Rouen. Very near cathederals, downtown, shopping, sight-seeing. Visitors should be aware that you must park and walk with your luggage. Unable to drive to front door.

The location is excellent for exploring on foot and with a good range of restaurants to choose from. The nearby underground car park seems very safe and not expensive for a city center. Only the access as said before.

Beautiful old building adjacent to the Cathedral. Very friendly lady on reception. Delightful courtyard garden where we were served a cup of tea on arrival. No restaurant, but many to choose from in easy walking distance. The twin room was large with a good bathroom (two basins) and a large bath/shower. All very clean. We were on second floor but there was a lift. I would certainly use this hotel again. No parking at hotel and the nearest car-park although not too far away was a bit of a struggle when carrying heavy luggage - impossible for anyone not able-bodied.

Typically old fashioned French hotel, certainly full of quirkiness rather than luxurious bland. Lovely courtyard for tea or just to relax . Good choice for breakfast served in an amazing old fashioned room, rather like being at your favourite great aunt's. Quite difficult to find but worth the effort! Bathroom needed updating but it all worked well but loo was very tiny "in a cupboard" and offered little privacy.

Very olde-world decor including timber beams in room, which was prety & full of atmosphere....creaking, sloping timber floors and all. Large room for a city Hotel. Really good breakfast. Excellent location in city centre. thin scratchy towels A little difficult to find & in a very narrow cobbled street that makes it difficult to offload luggage. Tip: Go into lane but park to one side. We parked in the middle because there was a big steel post in the middle of the lane, which we thought meant no cars could use it. Turns out the locals have a remote that makes the post go down....so we got abused for blocking the road.

They were happy to accommodate our dog, and the courtyard is charming. The room was adequate, and very clean (excellent mattress!) Staff very friendly Tea-making facilities in the room would have been nice (essential for a British couple!)

Great location, calm despite being in the center. The door lock was so hard to open! Each time we spent more than 5 minutes to open it..

Quaint hotel in an excellent location. The building is beautiful and old fashioned. The breakfast room is very nice and typical of old French design. The staff were very friendly. The room was disappointing. The floor was lino, the toilet was jammed into a closet sized space and the shower was dated and had no pressure. As everyone has written, the walls really are paper thin. We could hear the elevator go up and down, like it was in our room - and on the other side we could hear our neighbour on the phone and the person she was talking to!

We loved the location, the ambience and the character of the place. Parking was difficult at first but once we worked it out - underground at St Marcs Square - no problem and quite cheap. Added to which we loved the local bars, restaurants and Sunday market! Lovely place to stay! Thanks. Everything about the hotel was good!

This hotel was in a great position right by the cathedral and the staff were extremely helpfull. the hotel is quaint but the rooms are in desparate need of renovation. mouldy tiles in the bathrooms which were also very small. the bed was uncomfortable and slid across the room if you sat down on it.The decoration was tired and the room cold. while the heating was turned on in the reception area but not in the rooms. It is a shame as this could be an amazing hotel.
