Hôtel de la Cité – Concorde Lyon  

We found the hotel very well suited for our needs. It was a short bus ride from the centre of town or a 30min walk on a nice day. The hotel is right opposite Parc tete d'or that is perfect for jogging, cycling or walking. We really enjoyed spending time in the park. It really prevented us from having an excuse not to exercise. And right next to the hotel you can can rent a bicycle that you can use to explore Lyon or just ride around the park. You need a credit card with a chip, though. There are also a few restaurants around the hotel. Our hotel room was spacious and we had a nice view of the Rhone river. And we were supplied with organic toiletries, which were superb. The rooms are sound proof. We could not hear anything from outside. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Maybe the location, if you want to be close to the centre of town. For us it was ok.

The hotel is situated beside of the Rhone River and we had a beautiful landscape from the room. Transport taxi or with bus is convenient and there is a bus stop just 200m from the hotel 10 minutes to the centre city. The area was newly built on the bank. The basic concept of this was with the Architect Renzo Piano and an interesting atmosphere with modern art museum and a conference center, film theater, good restaurants.Elegant and modern and all staff are well mannered. We had a comfortable time.

The breakfast time at 7:30-9:30 is a bit rush us. It could be until at 10:00.

The staff was very nice. The park Tete D'Or is right behind the hotel and there are several restaurants and a movie theater in the complex. Once I figured out the buses, it was super easy to take the C1 to the train station Lyon Part Dieu, and C5 into the center city.The included breakfast was very good,simple but a lot to eat, that was my favorite part.

While the bus is convenient, the hotel is a distance from where most of the city is. While there is a bike rental stand right outside the hotel, it only takes creditcards with the chip inside it. Had it worked for me, the park by the Rhone would have been a great place for a bike ride.

The staff were incredibly accommodating. The view from the room was beautiful. Bed was incredibly comfortable.

Room service was not available at the weekend. There was nowhere to have dinner nearby. Location was a bit isolated.

Staff was very helpful during our stay, specially room service. Room are very clean, front desk gave us a room with a small terrace on second floor, lovely. Wifi is free.

A little trouble to connect to Wifi but was sorted out by front desk. In room breakfast is very good but a little expensive at 27€.

Very nice and clean room, excilent connection to the train station and town.

Breakfast was a little bit too expensive, tip for the cuisine: don´t cut the fresh fruits on a carving board where ognions etc have been choped. You could taste the ognions and the meat on eating the fruits.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel had advertised a junior suite with a view of the river. None of the junior suites had a river view as they were facing the wrong way. We stayed two nights and on the second day the maid did not provide fresh towles or new toiletries (shampoo). Also, the hotel restaurant was closed on Saturday and I had planned on eating at the hotel.

Very new and modern, extremely comfortable rooms (with windows that open up widely so you can get fresh air, or use the AC). All staff were extremely helpful and pleasant without fault and free wifi throughout which was great. The location is perfect if you just want to relax as the beautiful city park with lake is just across the road where we spent a lot of time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 3 nights here and were very comfortable. There are buses into the city centre (city centre is not walking distance) and to a nearby shopping mall and there is a bike hire place outside the hotel too. The hotel is located in a new purpose built hotel/restaurant/apartment complex called Cité Internationale so if you are driving, note that the GPS may not get you to the right location for the hotel (as we found). You can follow the street signs to Cité Internationale, then be sure to go to the P2 parking building along the far end. This hotel is located at that far end (northern) of the whole complex. We would definitely stay here again for its comfort and quality.

Room service breakfast - just don't do it ($$$$$$ and not worth it at all - the only negative for us on our last morning).

Great hotel with quality all over. Made for buisnesstrips. Nice room service meny. Located next to a beautiful park perfect for families, exercise, romantic picnics, ball-games or a walk in the zoo. Free "Jogging corner" with towels and water for those who have taken a lap in the park. Free umbrellas in case of rain.

Located at "The international city" north in Lyon. Long walk to down town, but easy to take a bus.
