The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was excellent.
Quaint gorgeous hotel. Comfortable smallish bed. Lovely view from our window right onto the round about, and church. The lovely owner was really helpful. Great breakfast.
Food excellent - menu du jour tres bon!
Very small shower room.
Located in centre of Epernay, 5 mins from champagne avenue. It is one of the less expensive options so generally good value for money, however definitely needs some updating. Room ok, bed reasonably comfy.
Booking said car parking included and provided, but it was actually a public car park that we had to pay for (not much but still wasn't included.) Bathroom needed desperate updating, slight mould in shower.
The location was excellent Views from our room were great We liked how they responded to our complaints about first room We were moved to a " better"room Most staff were friendly and helpful Restaurant on ground floor nice
This is a tired hotel desperately in need of renovation Bad, thin towels Hot water was tepid and our complaints were dismissed as "set by regulation" rubbish!!! The first room we were given which had a broken shower bracket and a hard bed. Also the toilet seat was broken and needed replacing.
Hotel was simple and clean in a great location.
The owners allowed guests to take dogs. One such dog was left in the room next door to me and barked for several hours keeping me awake.
The hotel is very central, close to shops and restaurants. it also has a quirky charm. The bedroom and bathroom were adequate for an overnight stay
Sitting in the breakfast room was a bit like sitting in a museum but that is a personal observation. Whilst some of the staff were helpful others were less so.
Our room was a reasonable size and shower etc adequate. Easy walk into town and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant
Lovely hotel, friendly staff, nicely furnished, great restaurant and fabulous location in centre of epernay walking distance from champagne houses.
Nothing, wifi wasnt great but we were not there to go online.
Location and price, all other standards of quality etc we're perfectly reasonable for the price paid
Only that the wifi didn't reach our room on the first night and didn't work anywhere the second night!
Have stayed here before and pleased to return once again. the Hotel is dated but very genuine. Its location is 2nd to none, and public parking was right outside our window. The hotel has a restaurant within it which is also very good. Information leaflets available in the room and lovely outlook. Can't wait to go back to Epernay and will stay here again.
There were several deliveries right outside our window in the morning from 7am onwards, with the worlds noisiest people operating pallet trucks and seemingly making excess noise for no apparent reason. The decoration is very old as was my mattress, but this is reflected in the price.
The location was great, some of the staff were friendly. Meals in the restaurant were fantastic and good value for money. Location was good. Price was good. Had a lovely time staying there.
The water problem in our bathroom needed a bit of attention, swelling in the floor underneath the cork , and rot on the architraves.
Location. Very friendly staff. Very nice food in the restaurant. Super convenient to discover the Champagne region.
Loud vacuuming in the morning of the rooms above and beside ours. Tiny tiny shower. Even a super skinny person can barely fit in.
V gd location, friendly staff, delicious food. I should have mentioned the water was a bit cool, perhaps they were having a hot water problem.
Can't go till sleep till the hotel packs up and everyone is in bed, then there's the noisy teens breaking off car wing mirrors till 3am
Good value for money, especially in the high season when everything else is booked out (we were there in July). Located in the centre of the town.
Located at the square with too loud traffic. Tiny rooms/ really small bathroom, poor comfort. But then again, it is ok for the money - only if you are not a troubled sleeper. No parking.
No Lift or offer to help carry luggage
Very close to the train station. Good restaurants close by.
No elevator in the hotel. Difficult to carry heavy suitcases up the stairs. Locks to the room is a bit jammed, it takes a bit of work to open the door.
Typical French Hotel. Loved it. Excellent position. Friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Will go back.
the location, parking close
Terrible and small bed, dirty carpets, bad smell, wallpaper falling down, bad isolation between the rooms, needs lots of renovations.
Excellent dinner at very reasonable fixed price.
Showers were very poor meaning an extended stay would not be an option in some rooms. Upgrade the showers and this could be a great spot for a mini break.
The restaurant is of a good standard and the terrine, duck (main) and dessert were excellent value when combined with the house wine. The breakfast was adequate. The location opposite the church is a fine location and close to many bars and restaurants.
The room is quite dated but in a nice sense as one often gets in European hotels. The major fault with the room is the size and quality of the plastic enclosed shower which is cramped and claustrophobic. I would get rid of it and generate more space using tiling and a power shower.
