Located next to Montluçon SNCF Train Station, Hotel de la Gare is in the town centre and less than 1 km from the Athanor Conference Centre. It offers accommodation with free Wi-Fi access and a TV with Canal+ satellite channels. Each guest room at Hotel De La Gare also has a private bathroom with a hairdryer and a bath. Staff were very friendly. Rates were very cheap. Internet was fast. Location was great.Car park was free. Everything was OK. Breakfast can be better. I would be more than happy to pay more to get a bit better breakfast, since the rate was very cheap.

We used this hotel to break the journey from Meymac to Paris. For this it was perfect. We booked on price and nothing else, therefore didn't expect much. Our 'French' and their 'English' meant we could understand each other. The hotel was clean and simple. No frills! We didn't try the breakfast. I would use this hotel again for a stop-over but for a longer stay would look elsewhere. Previous reviewers said that the streets were noisy. They were! We expected a market to be outside the window with all the banging and crashing. That said we were all exhausted so slept well enough!

Accueil agréable, chambre spacieuse et très propre, literie excellente... La chambre 6 était très très calme malgré la proximité de la gare sncf. Le petit déjeuner très copieux servi agréablement par un monsieur très souriant ! Vraiment très bonne adresse.

L'insonorisation. En effet dans la nuit, des personnes sont arrivées, très bruyantes, couraient dans les couloirs et se disputaient. Il serait bien qu'un panneau rappel le respect des uns et des autres.
