But I guess you get what you pay for! The room is a pretty old musty bedroom so very basic..but if you walk 10 mins you are on bellecoure which is the main square and access to metros to take you anywhere in the city. Its central so you can make a detour back to rest your feet before you head out again!
Needs a paint job..if all you want is a bed to sleep in while you are out exploring what is a beautiful city then its OK..
rooms are not big, but clean and nicely decorated. curtains are amazing, I slept until 11 am thinking it was still dark outside!
WIFI is very bad!
Helpful staff, the three bed room had a great deal of privacy for the 3rd bed and was a very reasonable price.
- close to the route of the tram (A1) from the train station - a bit away from the centre ; so the first thing you do is take a stroll into town! -quiet and cosy -friendly, helpful staff
I did like everything, will use again
Friendly staff, good breakfast, very clean.
The price, the promixity to the Perrache railway station and the friendliness of the staff, they always wear a smile. The shower is surprisingly good when compared to the general condition of the room
Our room is in the main building - the floor is uneven and a bit on the old side but given the good price this is acceptable.
Great wifi, clean comfortable room
Little far from everything, close to the metro but as someone who likes to walk you're not that close
Central location, comfortable & clean room, very friendly reception staff.
No hotel parking facilities
Very friendly and helpful management and staff. I spent the summer cycling through Spain and France. This place is in my top three of the best places I stayed. Can't praise these guys enough.
The owner was very, very nice. Although her English was not the best, she was kind. I felt like a local living here. This area is not touristy at all. Very comfortable and clean.
Location is a bit hard to find. If you don't have a great sense of direction, you might get lost.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Having travelled quite a bit in France, this was a nice surprise. The location is not the best area but is close walking distance to the city center.
The sheets were clean, but the carpet was beyond dirty, as we're the walls and bathroom. Beds were extremely uncomfortable.
Very personable vibe Small but adequate room for traveling. It was clean and comfy. Very close to the train station
They were working on internet so it was down while we were there. The air conditioning was weak One of there sons was angry and rude
The location and the breakfast was excellent, but what we liked the best was the staff. They were so kind and fun to talk to. The room in the courtyard was great because it was away from the road and traffic noise.
The wifi did not work constantly, but was really no problem
very friendly staff great location. ++ will recommend.
all very good. no complaints.
Location is great, good suburb and close to the center of Lyon.Staff is great especially the lady at the reception.Price was very cheap so I guess it wears the shortcomings.Would recommend this hotel.
Small room, tired furniture, questionable cleanliness of the room and mould in the bathroom.Very thin walls ,so you can hear the noise next door.
Nice bed and private bathroom for backpacking break! TV worked for some mindless rest/entertainment. Very cute hotel! Blackout blinds so you get a perfect night's rest! They don't speak much English here, but are very willing to help you through your broken French!!
Shower is extremely small and the handle was broken still (see previous reviews). I had to hold the shower head the entire time. Not a huge deal, but it is nice to stand under warm, running water after traveling.
Great location, lovely little hotel in walking distance of everything the centre of Lyon has to offer.
Courtyard rooms can get a bit noisy with people coming and going late and early hours.
Great location for train travel, being so close to Gare Perrache. Nicely decorated.
Some single rooms are very small.
The room was quirky and nice. Great for the price! The bedroom was upstairs and bathroom, with spa bath (spa wasn't working though) toilet and shelves downstairs. It was very quite, the staff were helpful. Though their English wasn't too good we could communicate with my limited french.
It was conveniently close to Perrache and the tram and metro and also not far at all, and an enjoyable walk up to, Bellecourt. Good value for what is quite an expensive city.
Terrible WiFi, the connection kept dropping off and when working, it was painfully slow. Not particularly comfy bed and lumpy pillows. Thin walls so if other guests are noisy, blimey are you aware of it.
Near to the train station
Central location, very clean, friendly staff, nice room, free Internet.
The staff were friendly and respectfull. So kind! Rooms were lovely and clean !
I would of appreciated a use of a computer as mine was stolen. The owners were amazingly nice and offered me to use there business computer but it was missing letters and complicated. A little computer tucked away to offer even a small charge cost would of been great.
all was good
