The hotel was quietly situated near sightseeing areas of the town, with a town tower overlooking the hotel courtyard. The rooms overlooked the courtyard, and were quiet. The breakfast was quite nice, in a comfortable setting. As across France, small rooms, making suitcase access and easy movement in the rooms difficult. |

The location and views were great. The hotel itself was attractive with a pretty courtyard for use in summer. The young server at breakfast was a delight. She was happy, smiling and started our day off well. Staff at desk were polite but not really welcoming. Breakfast was expensive and minimal with not nearly enough tables so that there was a queue for 10 to 15 minutes in the mornings for breakfast. |

Excellent position within easy walking distance of town centre and lots of restaurants. The inside looks a lot better than first impressions when you drive up to the front door. Breakfast very limited and hence expensive. Be warned that if arriving on a Sunday April to September the direct access along the Harbour front is closed to traffic. However a nice warden did eventually let us through. |

The young lady receptionist was very efficient and helpful and although we only had a one night stay and despite the Hotel undergoing building work it was perfectly OK. Some of the building work was not of a good standard. |

Excellent quiet location right by the old port area an easy walk to bars and restaurants. Nice spacious room. Hotel has a pleasant relaxed feel. Nothing really, a little pricey for this late in the season, and the shower over the bath was at waist height. |

Very friendly staff & quiet at all times, centrally located to enable walking into town or beach without the need of car or taxi. Very little to dislike, but would appreciate at least one English paper in reception, overall a wonderful experience & wouldn't hesitate to return! |

The location was great, a short walk intot he heart of things but without the noise of being right in the centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. There could have been more information provided in the room abotu the faciliteis available at the hotel - e.g times for breakfast and bar opening etc. There was air conditioing in the room but the room remained uncomfortably hot during the night. |

The only good thing going for this hotel is it's location, which is excellent. Unusually for France the hotel was not Baby friendly, the only option that we were given was for Breakfast in our rooms (due to the lack of facilities). On Friday night the bar was not open, having got the lad to sleep it would have been nice to be able to site in the court yard and reflect over a quite drink. |

Very central for La Rochelle. I recommend this only if you are not put off by the price. Expensive. Parking is extra. Air conditioning not adjustable and not effective. |

The location was very central. Ony good thing about the hotel- which looked good from the outside but was very poor, unless we were given the worst room. The room was small and dingy. There was a small window that overlooked the courtyard. We paid 129 euros per night for this room. The carpet was filthy. There was no way that this should have been a 3 star hotel. The breakfast was very basic and limited. Parking was limited and we had to pay for it. |

The location was excellent, right by the castle and next to the best pedestrian streets for the evening. It was also next to the beach and amenities if required. Both room and hotel interior were very nice. Pleasant outside atrium for an evening drink. No idea how to get to their parking but managed to park for free on the streets past the hotel instead! There are not many tables for breakfast. |

A "French hotel" but on this occasion seems to lack their usual charm. Atmosphere. |
