Room (though small) had everything needed, and location is wonderful. In the centre of town, but quiet.

Bathroom towel rail was broken.

It's an authentic hotel, very well located, with a good equipped (bath)room and a nice breakfast

The bed could use some new mattresses and the wifi reception is a bit poor

Traditional older style city centre hotel close to all facilities.

Although the room was clean and comfortable, our initial experience was a bad smell of stale nicotine (probably common in any older style french hotel) and odor from the drains. Drain smell disappeared after 24 hours. However we bought strong air freshener on day 1, and room was much sweeter when we ended our 3 night visit. As it is city centre, be prepared for noise of street cleaners at 7am, if room in the front.

Stylish late Victorian appearance. Very handy for the old city and Christmas market area.

The lack of a restaurant is a pity - I do not always find it convenient to go out to eat (it was December). It seems a little expensive too.

The club room I booked was more spacious then in other hotels of this kind I know in Lille. The room was separated form the corridor by two door so it was really quiet. The furnitures were in very good condition. The bathroom was clean and well furnished. The staff in the reception was very friendly and helpful. Fast wifi was available in the room free of charge. A resonably priced minibar.

As in most of this kind hotels lack o tea / coffe making facilities and small number of foreign chanels in the tv (oly bbc in English). Not very reach continental brakefast (two rolls, two small croissnts, a jam, butter and a tea / coffe for 9 eur).

The hotel is situated close to the old town and pedestrian area, so great for sightseeing. The Grand Place and Tourist Office are conveniently close. It is a 10 minute walk from Lille Flandres Station and not much further from Lille Europe, so walking is worth considering, as the taxis get caught up in a nightmare of traffic and one-way systems. Our room (No. 101) was comfortable, spacious and well furnished, including a fridge/mini-bar which was reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and served in a pleasant room, though I would always prefer a pavement cafe to start the day.

No air conditioning in the room - though I believe there was in the public areas. We were in a heatwave at the time, so this was an issue. The road at the front of the hotel is unbelievably noisy, so opening the window caused more problems. Also, there is a real problem with mosquitoes; we were both badly bitten on the first night and bought a repellent spray - only to later find one already in the bathroom (either provided by the hotel or a previous occupant?) Even this didn't solve the problem entirely, so best to be prepared!

I liked the location of the hotel, which is very close to the grand place.

The breakfast room was a little bit small.
