The Gigers have been the happy owners of the Hôtel De La Paix since 1979 and have been transforming and extending it to make it as comfortable as possible.
The hotel’s rooms and annex have undergone complete renovation. Mr. and Mrs. Giger have elaborated traditional and quality French cooking, built a second room for the restaurant, a bar, a brewery and a shaded terrace.
- The Hôtel Dieu, its patient ward, 18th century drugstore and Nevers earthenware.
- The Greuze Museum, inside the old Hôtel Dieu, invites you to discover 18th century French art through painting, drawing and engraving. The Museum also features rare archaeological collections from the Paleolithic to the Merovingian eras and many sculptures and paintings from the 15th century to today.

Great location, excellent restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere. Parking is a bit of a problem: there is a tiny parking lot, which, however, is rather pricey |

We booked the hotel for 60 Euros on line. When we got there they told us we were quoted the wrong price and it would cost 80 Euros. We argued this was not fair and then had to wait almost half an hour, with two tired hungry children, for a manager to appear to make a decision on the price. It was very embarrassing and difficult negotiating in French. Booking.com caused this problem. Finally the manager said we could have the room at 60 E. It wasn't very nice after a day on the road. The TV in our room didnot work. The plug for the sink was inoperable, therefore full sink all evening. |

Cet hôtel est bien placé , calme.Il a aussi un petit côté familial et est convivial . Nous avions un lit immense et par chance nous avons eu la même chambre qu'en juillet lorsque nous sommes venus. Hotel qui a appartenu aussi à ma famille ...d'où l'envie de le connaitre autrement que sur photo... Le seul souci pour des personnes qui ont des soucis pour marcher c'est le manque d'ascenseur. Cela n'a pas été notre cas.La 3° question en 4 n'est pas complète |

nous étions dans l'annexe dans une ruelle perpendiculaire à la rue de l'hôtel, endroit calme, chambres assez grandes, meubles et décorations vieillots, sans charme mais fonctionnel, très bien si on ne fait que dormir RAS nous n'avons passé qu'une nuit sans prendre les petits déjeuners |

Das gute Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Das relativ günstige drei-Gänge Menu für 18 EUR, auch wenn die Gerichte seit Jahren die gleichen sind. Hier wünsche ich mir ein bisschen Variation in dem Angebot für die einzelnen Gänge. Die Rezeption ist nicht immer besetzt. Das Hotel scheint mit wenig Personal zu arbeiten. Der Gast muss manchmal an der Küchentür klopfen, damit jemand an die Rezeption kommt. In den Hotelzimmern fehlt fast immer eine Ersatztoilettenpapierrolle... |

Um die Stadt, aber auch das nähere Umland zu erkunden, hat das Hotel einen günstigen Standort. Sehr feines Restaurant, doch müssen viele Brotbeigaben mithelfen, den größeren Hunger zu stillen. |

l'accueil, la propreté, l'amabilité Il n'y a pas de clim mais on ne peut pas laisser les fenêtres ouvertes car une bande de "voyous" fait de la moto et de la mobylette jusqu'à 3 heures du matin à toute vitesse dans la rue de l'hôtel sans que la police maintes fois prévenue n'intervienne sérieusement et malgré les pétitions des habitants, ce du 15 mai au 15 septembre environ (m'a-t-on répondu lorsque j'ai protesté le lendemain matin) |

Ontbijt. Hiervoor moest je €8,50 bijbetalen per persoon en je kreeg één croissant en wat stokbrood met confituur of choco. Meer niet. Dit was schandalig. De kamer is volledig bedekt met tapijt wat toch een muffe geur geeft. |
