Hôtel De La Plage  

1920's style hotel in beautiful setting. We stayed in "villa No,1" which was quaint but clean - small bathroom tho'.

Restaurant was a disappointment in spite of beautiful setting on the lake. The main courses were of average price (for the France of today!) but poor value. The starters were huge and wildly overpriced - average 14 Euros! - they would have been reasonable if half the price and half the size. There was one fixed price menu at 27 Euros which was very limited and did not change during our stay and the single dessert was a disgrace. If you don't mind going down-market a bit, the best food and value was at a cafeteria attached to the local Cora supermatket!

The location is excellent, on the lake front and in a small town. Private parking is secure. Wi-Fi in the rooms was good and the room was clean with good views of the lake & mountains. The restaurant was in an excellent location over the lake on stilts.

Quality of the evening food could have been better.

Quiet and nice place

This is not a 3 star hotel. The furniture is very simple, the bath is old, there was a bathtube with no curtains for the shower. The hydraulic and heating system had troubles, we stayed more than half an hour without hot water for the shower; my wife was under the shower wet and full of soap and she could not rinse herself. I am surprised to find a mark higher than 8 in the evaluation of other customers

Very welcoming wonderful setting. A rental car is necessary to get the full benefit from the stay particularly outside of the high season.

The hotel is located right on Lac Leman at a quiet place near a park, our room had 2 windows and both were facing the lake. We enjoyed sunsets and listened to the "sea" right from our room - very romantic! The beach is right near the hotel - there were quite a few people on the beach, but the water was cristal clear even at the end of the day, you can even see swans and ducks there. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful! Excellent free wi-fi and beautiful provance design of the interior!

L a tenue irréprochable de l'établissement, la compétence et l'amabilité du personnel le côté simple mais parfait de l'hôtel.

Nous conseillons vivement cet hotel de charme, très bien situé, calme, agréable.Nous avons apprécié la proximité d' evian et thonon pour leurs activités. Hotel tres propre, personnel accueillant... En fait que des compliment pour cet hotel

Emplacement géographique et le confort de l'hôtel avec un personnel à l'écoute.

Dommage que le restaurant au bord de l'eau était fermé pour les vacances de la Toussaint.

Top-Lage am See, Hotel selbst und Mitarbeiter nur o.k., unser Angebotszimmer war klein und einfach ausgestattet, aber sauber, Bad ebenfalls sauber mit riesengroßer neuer Dusche mit Schiebetüren, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, schönes Stelzenrestaurant, Parkplätze vorhanden. Alles in allem o.k. - aber die "Lobeshymen", die andere Gäste hier in der Bewertung abgeben, können wir nicht teilen. Da gibt es ganz andere Hotels in Evian, in denen wir schon nächtigten und speisten! Und das zum selben Preis oder günstiger!

Essen im Restaurant für den Preis nur mittelmäßig, Bedienungen eher unfreundlich, man frühstückt nicht (!) im schönen Stelzenrestaurant (wovon wir ausgingen), sondern in einer Kellerraum-"Halle", zwar mit großen Fenstern mit Blick auf den Garten und nett eingerichtet, aber eben nicht im Restaurant! Zudem liegt das Hotel sehr abseits, und ein abendlicher Spaziergang durch die Stadt Evian ist nicht möglich, da man dann mit dem Auto fahren muss.
