Distance to the motorway was very good.
Easy access from motorway, we arrived after midnight which wasn't a problem as called in advance and given entry code. Pet friendly, nice staff.
Very thin bath towels, and shower unit was at bath level so had to crouch in bath as there was no shower curtain.
Good standard room at an ecconomical rate. Good dining room service and very good food. Great choice of fromage (cheese) from the cart after dinner, and plenty of food to choose from at breakfast. Friendly staff.
Hotel was easy to find and the free private parking was great. Room was large and comfortable and they even turned on the heat when it got very chilly after the sun went down. Staff was very helpful and the internet worked well! Great hotel and we will definitely go back. It is a great base for visiting Templar country and the Millau Viaduct.
We have stayed here 3 times already and this was the first time we had a bad experience. The location is excellant just off the A75 and is in the area of The Templer Knights. The restaurant serve very meals at reasonable prices this is needed as there is nowhere elsr to go. The village is only small but beautiful.
There were a lot of black flies everywhere, in the bedroom, resturant, bar. They obviously had a problem.
Rooms were a little tired in decor and needed a bit of an update. The restaurant was excellent and the village most interesting. Worth a visit.
We found the quiet location to be ideal for our overnight stay between Lyon & Carcassonne. The hotel provided off street parking, excellent service and accommodation plus a gem of a restaurant. The location is close to the Millau Viaduct, an incredible engineering structure on the A75. The village of La Cavalerie has some very interesting history, reflected in its buildings, which we discovered the next morning.
Very friendly and helpfull staff. The rooms were very basic as was the bathroom, both could do with a little homely touch. However both were spotless. The restaurant for dinner was excelent. Breakfast gave you a good choice of cereals fruit and bread. We would have liked to visit the village and surrounding areas, however with heavy rain it wasnt possible.
Just up the road from the hotel is a very nice pizzeria well worth a visit if you are staying in this hotel Staff we're very polite and friendly
Restaurant was pricey and charged 6.30 euros for a very small gin and tonic
This place is very good for an overnight stop, just a few kms from the highway but in a very picturesque small town. Friendly staff, good food in the restaurant, parking available, reasonable prices. We'll probably stay there again the next time we drive this way.
Room a bit small, as usual in this hotel category.
Food Very Good.Different types available and price not too high. This was a 2 Star hotel but very clean and better then some 3/4Star places I have stayed.
I could not find fault. As a 2 Star Hotel I had no negatives to report.
Clean & comfortable small hotel in pleasant, quiet village. Close to motorway. Helpful staff
Restaurant was good but rather pricey, and we were only able to use it for the first evening of our three night stay. since after that it was closed due to `exceptional circumstances` (which we later learned to be the chef`s absence through illness)
The town is very pretty and a visit to the castle is a must. The hotel receptionist was very friendly and spoke good English. Would we recommend the hotel, I said yes as there was not a maybe option.
We chose this hotel because of the reviews, particularly concerning the food. We found the food average at best. My wife ordered a beef kebab cooked medium; it was very tough and almost blue!
Ease of access and location
Size of room with 3 sharing
Hotel fine for the price. Near to motorway and a nice little village to explore.
Flies flying around the restaurant.
We were given the room for free as a compensation for the problem with cleaning. This was a positive surprise. The location is easy to reach from the motorway and price is OK.
We arrived at the hotel just after midnight only to find out that our room was not cleaned at all. Dirty sheets etc. The manager arrived 20 minutes after a phone call and gave us another room. This was not a pleasant surprise. The hotel is very basic and sound insulation is poor. Rooms are more like hostel-rooms
Good location and value for money. Tourist office in town was great and village has been restored to high standard. Hotel clean and comfortable with parking.
Restaurant was a little pricey with and no cereal at breakfast.
The location, close to the motorway but in a pretty village. A lift. Dog friendly, country lane opposite ..and an artisan bakery. Friendly staff. And the best French restaurant ever, with seriously good local food and wine, presented well. Such a treat!
Love it all
Efficient and hard working staff!
By road but not a problem
Loved the location close to Millau. Loved the village of La Cavalerie. Loved the manager who anticipated all our needs, had a lovely droll sense of humour and was so welcoming. Loved the restaurant.
There was nothing not to like.
location from motorway
Well I don't know what hotel the 8.2 reviews referred to it was obviously somewhere else. I would give it a 5.5. It was cheap and cheerful but the room smelt and was a bit worn out with the carpets being threadbare. The cell phone mast 30 meters from our room was not good.
Ideal stopover location. Good set price dinner menu & very friendly & helpful staff. Off road private parking. Interesting village to explore. Will definitely visit again.
Wifi would not connect due to security warnings on my device although in fairness I did not pursue the matter with reception.
The room is nice and comfortable. We liked the breakfast. The evening in the hotel restaurant was wonderful. We chose Menu Gourmand with pork (Pied de porc farci sauce truffee) and rabbit (Rable de lievre et son Saupiquet). Everything was delicious and of very high quality. If you travel by car there are many interesting places to visit nearby: the castles of the tampliers, the Viaduc of Millau... The hosts can provide you with all the necessary information. This hotel (and its restaurant of course!!!) is one of our best impressions of a New Year week stay in France (Nice, Cannes, Aix-en-Provence, AVEYRON!!!).
A hair dryer could be added.
