Hôtel de la Poste    

Rooms were very nicely furnished, spacious & modern. Staff allocated us a perfect space for our young family requirements so we had two rooms connected by a private corridor. Good wifi access. Nice central location. Always possible to get a parking space fo the car.

Before checking in, we visited the hotel 3 days in advance to request adjoining / connecting rooms and we told this was not possible, the hotel was full...this experience was not nice and also caused some anxiety (which was needless as in fact they offered the perfect solution when we checked in!) Breakfast was often chaotic, too many guests and not enough staff available to support their needs. The communal areas (stairways etc) are in need of upgrade and are not at the same high quality as the bedrooms.

Lovely views and the town was located right at the top of the col de telegraph, and at the start of the galibier Nothing to do with the hotel though, that's the town.

Oh dear, basil and Cybil are back. Obviously they need a wee holiday themselves, and maybe chill out away from this sweat box Life's too short to list all the bads but wouldn't stay if it was free Breakfast was served too late if u were going to see le tour so can't comment on it.......but croissants from patisserie were fab Other two hotels on this trip were great.......this wasn't

Stayed overnight prior to cycle sportive. The hotel was everything I needed. Reasonably priced, clean room, powerful shower, decent breakfast and as a solo female I felt very safe.

Some people may find the decor a wee bit dated.

Perfect location just 100 metres out of the main street. Parking is easy. Perfect spot to stay if you want to cycle Galibier as it starts 150 meters from the front door. Rooms are what you would expect. They are very comfortable and the balcony gives a great view of the mountains. Staff are excellent

Un peu trop chaud dans la chambre. Dernier client de la saison donc pas de possibilité de dîner le soir.

La chambre spacieuse et chaleureuse. Son balcon avec vue sur la montagne. La qualité des petits déjeuners.

- Situation centrale, à 20 min. à pieds du centre ucpa, pratique pour les couples - Chambre confortable et spacieuse, WC à part de la salle de bain - Internet gratuit avec Wi-fi mais connexion simultanée avec 2 appareils impossible - Décoration bucolique, et documentations dans la chambre - Petit déjeuner buffet à 9 euros (quand même !) : vrai jus d’orange pressé, petits pains au chocolat et croissants, œufs, jambon, fromage, confiture, céréales… - Bonne isolation phonique, pas d’intrusion de bruit / lumière dans la chambre grâce aux volets - Baignoire avec différents jets pour la douche, bidet - Petit coffre-fort dans la chambre et grande TV à écran plat - Flexibilité au niveau des petits déjeuners : avons pu ne pas en payer un que nous n’avons pas pris

- Pas d’ascenseur et chambre au troisième étage - Canalsat seulement pour tranches en clair ! - Chambre triple sans balcon au lieu (et au prix) d’une double avec balcon réservée, et pas de compensation possible - Possibilités de stationnement (uniquement extérieur) assez limitées - Petit-déjeuner de 08h à 10h seulement - La chasse d’eau est restée coincée un soir mais quelqu’un est venu régler le problème de suite suite à notre appel à la réception - La réception n’est pas ouverte 24/24

Hôtel superbement fleuri situé au pied du mythique Galibier. Excellent accueil. Chambre très confortable au charme montagnard. Petit-déjeuner copieux et varié, adapté aux sportifs. Garage à vélos. Parking voiture.

dans le cadre d'une sortie vélo vers le Galibier entre amis , nous avions choisi de loger à Valloire. l'hôtel de la poste est très bien situé et l'accueil y est super sympa. la restauration est de bonne qualité avec un service efficace et souriant. c'est un hôtel sympa, efficace et sans chichis... A recommander aux cyclistes!
