La Verniaz et ses Chalets  

The view of the Alps in the morning from our balcony was most memorable!!! The dinner we had at their restaurant was one of the best in our lives!!! The beautiful landscaping around the hotel had little surprises that you didn't see at first.

We stayed 3 nights - the last two mornings we woke up to no hot water. Washing our faces and hands in cold water was a good way to wake up but showers were out of the question. The hotel offered us hot showers in another building on the last day but we declined as we wanted to get on our way. The Hotel reduced our rate for two of the three nights by 50% because of this situation ++++++++!!!!!!!! merci! And gave us gift wrapped presents as we left. First Class service.

We had a great relaxing stay just for one night but would definately stay longer had we not had to travel onwards to home .Look out for the spit roasts which are a speciality of the hotel and looked super (we had already opted for the 3 course dinner so couldn,t try it ).We were upgraded free of charge to superior lake view rooms without asking.Breakfast was good with fresh juices,strawberries, yoghurts and lovely croissants and breads.We were given a gift by the hotel owner and felt extremely welcome at this hotel. One to recommend to friends

Everything! The setting up above Evian - the beautifully kept grounds with all the flowers and fruit trees, the facilities eg heated outside pool, outside sitting areas, lounge, bar, dining room, billiard room etc. The luxury!

Loved the balcony off our room that overlooked the hills. Beautiful flowers hung from the railing, and there was a table with two chairs perfect for taking in the scenery. We ate breakfast out on the balcony each morning and were filled with a sense of gratitude and wholeness.

The staff were excellent and the food was very good.

The rooms without aircon are uninhabitable in summer. But our room was changed and upgraded for free. The dinner menu is too small, one could only eat there maximum 3 times before trying most of the menu.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant was two expensive! We payed about 130 euro for two persons and the food was pretty average!

C'est vrai que le cadre est magnifique et l'établissement est agréable, bien fleuri et le personnel compétant.

En fait, il y a un point que nous aimerions abordé.Nous trouvons que pour un établissement qui est dans la grande liste des hôtels les plus prestigieux du guide "relais et châteaux" la salle de bain était tout simplement négligée : les joints de la baignoires étaient noirs et le bas des portes en verre servant de protections pour une douche également.Nous avons donc fait remarquer le problème à la gérante qui n'a fait aucun geste pour se faire excuser.

Rapport qualité /prix au niveau de la restauration. Bonne qualité de restauration mais prix élevé

Personnel attentif. Chambre et salle de bain parfaites. Cadre magnifique. Un endroit qu'il faut prendre le temps d'apprécier : calme et volupté.

Les yaourts "de grande surface" qui ne cadrent pas avec le reste du petit-déjeuner.

Excellent accueil et personnel aux petits soins. Chambre très propre et confortable. Restaurant soigné. Nous retrouvons dans cet hôtel les qualités des anciens hôtels familiaux où le service est au rendez-vous.
