Offering panoramic lake views, the Zénitude hôtel & Résidences Les Terrasses du Lac is located just a few steps from the Evian golf course, across from Lake Léman.
Score from 918 reviews Very good
This hotel is on the edge of Lake Geneva, a 5-minute walk from Evian-les-Bains. It includes a spa with an outdoor pool and pool-side bar that serves a variety of cocktails and snacks.

Score from 364 reviews Very good
Totally refurbished in May 2010, this is a typical Belle-Époque hotel in the heart of Montreux, on the shore of Lake Geneva. It offers panoramic views and free internet access.
Score from 746 reviews Excellent
Great old world charm
Need a chill lounge
This is a beautiful property. The rooms were good sized, very clean. Pay extra for a view of the lake it is totally worth it. The staff was very pleasant and extremely helpful. We would definitely return again when we are in the area. Very peaceful setting.
The bed was made up of two parts with the uncomfortable line in the middle. Other than that, all was perfect.
Nice breakfast, good bed mattress. Quiet enviroment.
We ordered a room with lake view, but on the first floor there is not too much to see from the lake because of the trees. In the bathroom there were some patches arround the sink wich we tought at first it was dirt. This furniture should be changed.
Everyhting is more than perfect. Many thanks for Alexandra-beatiful young lady/manager (sorry if I write the name wrong) for her kind advices and excellent services. We were very delighted.
Staff very rude ! No food in this hotel only poor breakfast
everything was great, staff was really nice and helpful, hotel was beautiful surrounded by flowers
It would be perfect with a shuttle bus to the town
Old style, high ceiling and plenty of space in the rooms. Breakfast buffé was reasonable priced and in a very beautiful surrounding and got all I needed. Free parking very close to the entrance.
Pool area was closed and also the resturant. We went to Evian town and that was 5-10 minutes drive which was the closest resturants. The bill was wrong but quickly changed when I pointed it out.
The staff were all incredibly helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The view from the balcony was great. We would definitely stay here again
The staff was very attentive and willing to please. The location is at an elevation and overlooks the lake. The gardens are beautiful and each room in the buildings is attractive and inviting. There is a great attention to detail. We loved our stay there!
It was a bit hard to find, so make sure you know how to get there. The address and our nav system didn't match.
The view from the room (lake view room)
It is just very old. A bit of renovation was done in the bathroom but the rest of the room is so much tired. Cracks on the mirror, old doors, telephone has 1999 date of manufacture ( I guess that's when they last did the renovation). There is an awful smell everywhere in the building. Like an old old house....
The hotel is delightfully picturesque and a little quirky. The standard room was traditional in design, with a little balcony and modernized bathroom. Old style windows. Bath was very high to climb into for the shower, but the shower was great. Bed was really comfortable and the meal in the restaurant was excellent, if pricey. We did not take breakfast. The grounds are lovely and the pool looked inviting. A wonderful overnight stay!!
Lovely room with gorgeous view. I will definitely come back
one of the best hotels we ever stay, beautiful location, very friendly staff
The price of the restaurant is alit bit high
Fantastic view, friendly and helpful staff. Ver clean and nice room. I would definitely advice to everyone.
The view, gardens and outdoor eating
Evening menu disappointing
The location overlooking Lake Geneva is stunning, and whilst the weather wasn't kind to us, the pool and sport facilities looked fabulous. The staff were invariably courteous and helpful, and this family run hotel really understands customer service.
The steep hill between the main reception and the annex for the rooms means that guests with limited mobility should be aware that they will need help. But this is in the foothills of the Alps!
Beautiful hotel, excellent location overlooking Lake Geneva, close enough to the center of Evian but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Great for relaxing or for a romantic getaway. We went there in summer, and the hotel and surroundings were covered by beautiful flowers.
Taking into account that the rooms are already pricey, we found that 18 euro per person for what looked like a normal breakfast buffet was a bit too much. We walked about 5 minutes to a bakery in Neuvecelle and had coffee and croissants for a fraction of that.
We have got what we paid.
International hotel, good restaurant, but the menu was ONLY in French. Nobody speaks German, Italian, nobody wanted to translate it to english. So we did not know what we ordered.
Wow, I so enjoyed my stay at La Verniaz that it ranks near the top of my favorite lodging experiences. It's perched on top of a hill overlooking Lake Geneva and is a quaint and intimate place to simply relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the property. The staff makes you feel like part of their family -- and it is no wonder that this establishment has been owned by the same family for decades. Frank, the bartender, is a creative mixologist and entertaining conversationalist, so if you go, definitely stop at the bar and indulge in one of his lovely cocktails! Also, do not miss out on having dinner at the restaurant -- it is a real treat. The grounds are covered in roses and flowering trees which were all in full bloom at the end of May. It was absolutely spectacular. I hope to visit La Verniaz again soon.
The atmosphere. Room service. Breakfast.
Wifi is getting disconnected and asks for Id and password every time.
The location, on the hill, just opposite Evian tennis club, where u can play tennis. Quiet and beautiful part of Evian. Nearby is free funiculer to downtown. Atmosphere at the location is great. Restaurant for lunch and dinner is very good, the service there and at the recepcion is perfect. Good breakfast.
The walls are not soundprof, I could hear every word of my neibours, who came home every morning at 3-4 am. The service at breakfast was very slow. On sunday I spend half an hour standing there and waiting for a clean table. The swimming pool is a bit old fashiond and needs a renovation. But that is all. It is the exellent choise for the hotel at Evian.
Great ambiance. Very friendly staff. First class restaurant.
The road to Evian!
Phenomenal setting and building. Roses everywhere - immaculate and charming. Dining in the restaurant is essential, especially in good weather where there is a beautiful garden.
My wife and I visited this hotel with our (then) young son 17 years ago, and we had such fond memories that we returned with two lady friends for a visit in May, 2014, for 3 nights. La Verniaz is a country-style hotel perched on the hillside above the center of Evian, offering great views of Lac Léman. It has a very comfortable communal living room, gourmet restaurant, beautiful patio and gardens, a lot of flowers everywhere, a very nice pool area and next-door tennis court, an area with cabins, and a separate building just above the gardens offering rooms with windows and small balconies overlooking the lake. Breakfast is served in that building, while you may reserve a table for an elegant dinner in the dining room of the main hotel building. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive. I would recommend a room with a lake view, well worth the extra charge. Rooms are spacious and charming, beds are large and comfortable, bathrooms are modern and convenient, and the views are breathtaking. Breakfast is a buffet offering a small selection of breads, cereals, cheeses, fruit, yogurt and eggs (with or without ham) made to order. They also bring a basket of croissants and pastries to each table. Very nice. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant, and it was very gourmet, but we felt that the flavors were not quite up to the level of the very best meals we ate in similar establishments in France. Nonetheless, the food is quite good, and service is excellent.
The restaurant was quite expensive, and the food was ok but not spectacular.
