Only the bed was comfy and there's hot water. That's the only good things I can say about this place. When I got there the lobby was OK. First looks impressed, then failed miserably after looking at the staircase.
No lift. Narrow n steep staircase. Room not clean. Doors don't close properly. Windows don't open. Bad paint job in the room. The shower ceiling is too low for a tall person like me. The bathroom was cramp. The shelves were just plywood pieces badly painted white. Odd placement of the power sockets. The table n chair supplied are those used at beaches.
The only good thing is the location (close to Louvre).
The rooms are horrible! It's dirty, there's no light in the bathroom, nobody cleans the rooms ou the toillets/bathroom (the hotel doesn't have toilets in the room) and I suspect the place is used as a motel (the empty rooms). Awful! No elevator!
Location was amazing, walking distance to every famous site in Paris
Worst room, bathroom, bed, no wifi. So dirty and hot. Bugs everywhere, smells real bad, no tv or wifi. Had to wear ear plugs to go to sleep to stop hearing people go to the toilet which was constantly, cigarette smoke and bathroom stink bellowed into my room the whole time
Location is really good, close to metro and RER,just at the city center. The sheet is quite new and clear The internet is fast and well connected.
there is no dustbin in the room. And when i took shower after 22:30 there is no heating water. The decoration is old but it is acceptable if the price could be a little bit down. No elevator so it would be difficult for old passengers.
Great central location next door to the Louvre and Les Halles. Easy access to the metro.
The shared toilet and the shared shower room could be a bit more user friendly.
Location, friendly gentleman who helped us with booking in and giving us a good picture on safety issues being face by tourists in Paris. Place had a unique charm to it, making one feel like one was back in time in some mid1960s location. There's good wifi, though!
It was appropriate for the price considering the location but travellers who are used to more 'modern' buildings and decors should perhaps look elsewhere. We loved it, but also very clearly foresee that some others would not like the place much, or at all. Not the kind of place for persons carting around several large suitcases and expecting porter or concierge service!
No air conditioning
Wc Bath Room Bed
Location was good, staff was friendly and even lent us a hot water kettle when we asked.
Room was cramped, bathroom was cramped
The hotel manager was so friendly and the location was excellent. . In the heart of Paris
An interesting experience; I thought there are no such hotels any more. A bit of the 19th century. Extremely narrow staircase, 82 steps to the room 14 at the top floor: don´t bring heavy luggage! Shabby but not dirty. A good bed. And the location is great.
Poor light fittings: very difficult to read.
Excellent location, super friendly and wonderfully helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again
Four flights up old crooked stairs, with no elevator and no ac
The one good thing is the location, 5 min walk to Louvre, if you really need it. We were really happy to move to another area with the real French atmosphere
Uncomfortable place, too small and old room, the smell of dampness. I think it is really expensive price for this kind of place. we were very happy to leave this place
Excellent and freindly staff just like a family. The location is a walking distance from royal palace and from the three metro outlets esp.les halles.
Shawer isn't confortable. And upon my stay they were painting and I assume they may consider the shawer too.
i like the hotel, the boss is nice .
Central localtion at a very low price.
Room fairly basic and very small. Website offers breakfast but not available
Location was good in a cute little neighborhood by the Louvre. The hotel was quiet at night. Good wifi which I was able to watch baseball games on my mlb account.
No TV in the room which was a bit shocking as I was looking forward to checking our French tv. Also, hen we checked in the manager tried to make me pay with cash. Like 500 Euro. I told him that I no way had that much money on me and he told me that I could use a cash machine. After I told him that would be like 2 days of my max American limit he says "no problem" and put it on my card. I felt like he was scamming me to save credit fees.
Good Wifi A place to stay close to the Louvre at a reasonable price.
Lack of facilities - 2 toilets between about 14 rooms and a tiny shower with a shower curtain that stuck to you.
The location is very good.
Charming but eccentric very old building. Rather scruffy - a bit like the attic stairs in opera La Bohème, but carpeted! Comfy beds and clean loo and shower. Budget price Very near the Louvre museum, and metro. Very quiet road - more of an alley.
Lack of shower curtain and so very wet floor after shower. Rather slapdash unfinished decor. Narrow alley (rue du Pélican) very scruffy.
I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and everything was ok. The location is perfect: 2 minutes to get to The Louvre, 6 minutes - to the Pont Neuf and the Cité, there are many cute cafés, souvenirs and so on. 4 metro stations are located within 5 minutes of walking and using them you can get to any point of Paris. The room was daily cleaned, the staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is the best variant for those who's planning to spend all day long walking along the Paris and visiting the places of intrest. Reading the information on booking.com I was a bit scared to use this hotel for staying but let me assure you that it is quite good place to spend some nights. There were no beatles in the bathroom and no blood drops on the bed sheets as some of the visitors mentioned in their feedbacks.
The hotel is located in the side street so the surrounding was quite dirty. The walls are too thin (including the toilet;) so you can hear everything))) It's was a bit confusing))) But if you plan to spend all the day outside the hotel watching the places of interest it's not a big problem. And let me mention that the shower was too small: I'm a girl of an asthenic constitution but I had some complications when I was trying to wash my hairs)))
It was a very basic hotel but it was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
