location was great
our first room was too small with an angled wall near the bed to walk around with the window open. Very noisy from bar downstairs. Had to pay for cold breakfast cereal
Lovely bed, great blackout, free wifi, lots of toiletries and towels. Nice walk to the Marais and some of the more interesting bits of Paris.
Could hear a lot of noise from other bedrooms (even with the doors shut), pretty expensive for a very small room. Very glad it was just me - small double bed up against the wall.
Very clean, although the room was a bit small (enough for max 3days), it was very cozy. located near by a metro station (oberkampf) in a good area, wich puts you in few minutes in any main part of centre Paris. Best hotel I've staid in Paris (budget/quality).
Don't worth to have breakfast in the hotel because it has a wonderful patisserie few meters away for a delicious and cheap breakfast.
Great place to stay. Easy to get too. Easy to get around paris. Local metro very close. The hotel wifi is not the best as I couldn't log on yet my partner could and it was good. The lift is tiny. Breakfast was nice. Drinks and cold buffet. Rooms small but great shower. Would say to anyone going to paris this hotel is good for a short break. Any longer it might be a bit small. Would recommend for all ages too. Remember this is not the ritz and only there for sleep and change and then it is ideal. All the staff were really helpful smiling and friendly. If I return to paris I would stay here again.
I couldn't log onto wifi but as stated above my partner did with no issues. The lift was tiny. Could only fit the two of us in with bags.
Clean, good location two mins from a metro station, staff spoke good English which made getting help easy.
Room was very warm and street was too noisy to open window, small for price (no wardrobe), no English speaking channels or option of english on tv.
price and location; it's a type of basic hotel during layover in prime location. i spent here two nights and was close to everything.
Cleanliness, Location and distance to Metro, Super markets, WiFi was good, Receptionists were nice, were able to speak English and guide us with all the routes etc.
Pretty small rooms and windows had to be opened all the time to avoid suffocation, A bit pricey without breakfast included.
Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
Location, cleaniness and style
Bad wifi connection
Lots of well priced cafés in the area. The Oberkampf station is closeby. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to Place De La Bastille and Paris' best markets takes place on Sunday morning. The room was very clean. Lots of room to open our suitcases. Quiet street. Great bathroom!
We had some difficulty locating the hotel. The map we had did not clearly identify La Folie Mericourt. Not a lot of space to hang our clothes.
noisy at night
I like the no fuss attitude of the hotel. It does everything you expect without trying to impress or over indulge. When in Paris, it is not to stay in the hotel room.
the desk is small without much light and the shelf above is far too low (forehead height). it makes it hard to sit with a laptop and work a bit.
very small pillow and thin bed clothes
As all hotels in Paris, rooms are small so have that in mind when you book somewhere. Even though small, it worked for us and we stayed a week. The area is very nice, there are lots of restaurants close by and a few supermarkets. The hotel is close to Metro stations Parmentier and Oberkampf. The staff were friendly and all spoke english well. One from the cleaning staff saw my bouquet of roses in our room and made a vase from our old water bottle. So kind and clever! Bathroom and room seem to be renovated not too long ago, which is always nice.
There was a weird smell that came sometimes from the bathroom...Like a sewage smell. 10 euro is too pricey for breakfast considering what you get. We bought our own and ate in our room. There was no problem keeping some stuff in their fridge. Pillows were small and hard. Our cover didn't get changed even though it was visibly dirty.
Nice hotel, clean room, comfortable bed, helpful staff, I would stay in this hotel again
Staff very helppfull Clean
Noise from others rooms
Even though I was only there for the weekend I found my stay at this hotel very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and spoke very good English. The room was very clean and modern looking and the location was excellent, only a 5 minute walk from Oberkampt station. I would recommend this hotel.
I had no major problems except the range of the morning breakfast but since it was only a 3 star hotel, I did not expect much more.
Lovely staff, clean, uncomplicated hotel in a great area. Compact room, great shower.
There is a bar outside which is quite noisy but the double glazing deadens the sound - easiest way around it it to go out and enjoy yourself in Rue Oberkampf til the early hours!
location was really good, so close to metro station. room was a little bit small but anything we need was in here.
I liked everything about it friendly helpful and just a very nice place to stay.
I liked everything.
Extremely clean hotel. Good location.
There was no wardrobe and the lamps were bad.
V helpful staff regards to accommodation and getting out and about, which metro stations to use etc.
Quite a lot of street noise but it is a character hotel on a Parisian street and France were playing in the World Cup when we were there so this isn't really a biggie
No air con
Staff was very helpful- got me a chauffeur car to airport on a rainy day at peak hour and for cheaper than a metered taxi. Bed was comfy, bathroom clean, hairdryer strong enough. Very calm - rooms are totally soundproof to each other. Good location.
No closet - you live off your bag. Amenities is only just a soap, no shampoo or cotton.
