A 3-minute walk from Place de la République, Hotel du Nord et de l'Est provides rooms with LCD TVs. It has an interior patio where guests can relax next to the flowers and the fountain.

- about 5min walk from Oberkampf station - area not too secluded - easy to locate for first timer
- need to pay for very simple breakfast - not all staff is well-versed in EL, some cannot even understand simple sentences - if require hot water, have to go down to lobby to take - rooms, walkways, lift has limited space, so not so good for people who are bigger
Good place. Small room, but very nice and clean.
We were a couple spending christmas in Paris and this hotel was just perfect for us.Nice location close to the city center, restaurants, coffee places around us and a quiet, safe location to stay. The rooms were renovated everything looks new, rooms are soundproof. The owner of the hotel was speaking Greek(we are Greek) and she was very nice and sweet person.I really recommend this hotel to everyone
No complaints at all
Excellent central location to get around Paris, airport and Disneyland. Nice modern decor and helpful staff. Nice area with nearby shop's. Quiet area.
No tea making facilities in room and rooms a little dark.
Location Wifi Clean
No A/C No kettle/cups
The staff were wonderful and helpful , the location was fantastic , old style paris . The hotel itself was great value for money !! Would and will recommend people to stay .
There was a buzzing noise that was fairly consistent , but honestly after a while you got used to it .
Very clean and staff very helpful, good location , area plenty of restaurants .
Rooms little bit small.
Staff were very good, spoke English well which was good for us! In a very convenient location right near two metro stations. Many cafés and restaurants close by and even monop (grocery store). Easy base to explore paris from. The rooms are very clean.
The rooms are obviously very small, but fine for sleeping. I thought the pillows were quite flat and the bed wasn't as comfy as I'd hoped, but everybody sleeps differently. The rooms are very warm and this makes the paint smell linger in the room. Had to continually open the window as it is constantly stuffy. But overall it is a very well presented hotel in an awesome location. I would definitely stay there again.
- location (close to metro) - room and bath were clean
- room and bath were really small - there was nothing special - there wasn't a kettle, tea, coffee
Location really good close to lovely shops and not far from the place de la bastille. Staff friendly and informative. Room small but cosy, enough for few nights stay and small luggage!! Great shower!!
Room wasn't thoroughly clean - found rubbish under bed left by previous guests. But beds clean and bathroom too
Excellent location in less touristed part-though convenient- area of Paris with great local restaurants and bakeries nearby. Rooms are super clean, rooms soundproofed, beds comfortable and wifi works most of the time.
Rooms were very small, with no minibars (for keeping pastries and food). Nonetheless, a great place to stay.
It does the job if u need a clean room and bathroom and not pay a fortune in a modern set up
Location, area, clean
size of the rooms.
Great location close to lively Rue Oberkampf. Very nice staff.
Rooms are a little small. Pillows could be fluffier. The piping of the bathroom on the first floor room started whistling at 8 am on Saturday which provided an unwelcome and unexpected early wake up call. The hotel staff kindly switched us though to another room after I mentioned the issue.
Good apportioned hotel in trendy area oberkampf. Excellent wifi and big bathroom with nice toiletries . Can walk to Bastille or marais from here. Great supermarkets and restaurants close by. Loved older woman receptionist!
Chatter in corridors at night but that is not the fault of the hotel
Location: near the Metro station (but pls be noted that there is no elevator neither escalator and the nearest exit from hotel has very small gate and steps. If you have big and heavy suitcase better not to use Metro._ SHOWER: you can use hot water without any problem. STAFFS: all are very kind.
Breakfast: it cannot be euro10.00 Value at all! No ham and sausages neither egg. No vegetable, either. During 5 days' stay, never changed the content of breakfast at all. This was the 4th time for me to stay in Paris, but the worst about breakfast! WIFI: sometimes very slow and had to connect repeatedly.
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was also good, very close to many metro stations, cafés, brasseries and super markets and only a 20 min walk to the Louvre. No problem sleeping as it got quiet in the area when we needed to sleep. The place was clean and the rooms did smell very good! The bed was big and comfortable.
The rooms are quite small and I thought it was a bit dark.
Cleanand the shower was lovely
The pillow was terrible
Calm and clean area of Paris
My room was on a ground floor, having a window on the same level with the street. Like a window shop.
Lovely staff, very helpful. Nice and clean. Room small but it is Paris and it was affordable.
location was great
our first room was too small with an angled wall near the bed to walk around with the window open. Very noisy from bar downstairs. Had to pay for cold breakfast cereal
Lovely bed, great blackout, free wifi, lots of toiletries and towels. Nice walk to the Marais and some of the more interesting bits of Paris.
Could hear a lot of noise from other bedrooms (even with the doors shut), pretty expensive for a very small room. Very glad it was just me - small double bed up against the wall.
Very clean, although the room was a bit small (enough for max 3days), it was very cozy. located near by a metro station (oberkampf) in a good area, wich puts you in few minutes in any main part of centre Paris. Best hotel I've staid in Paris (budget/quality).
Don't worth to have breakfast in the hotel because it has a wonderful patisserie few meters away for a delicious and cheap breakfast.
Great place to stay. Easy to get too. Easy to get around paris. Local metro very close. The hotel wifi is not the best as I couldn't log on yet my partner could and it was good. The lift is tiny. Breakfast was nice. Drinks and cold buffet. Rooms small but great shower. Would say to anyone going to paris this hotel is good for a short break. Any longer it might be a bit small. Would recommend for all ages too. Remember this is not the ritz and only there for sleep and change and then it is ideal. All the staff were really helpful smiling and friendly. If I return to paris I would stay here again.
I couldn't log onto wifi but as stated above my partner did with no issues. The lift was tiny. Could only fit the two of us in with bags.
Clean, good location two mins from a metro station, staff spoke good English which made getting help easy.
Room was very warm and street was too noisy to open window, small for price (no wardrobe), no English speaking channels or option of english on tv.
