Mr. Mouhad was very cranky at first but by staying there I have realized that he works shift of 12 hours for a very low pay. Eveything has to be put into perspective. He is actually a very nice person if you get to know him and helped me the best way I could. It was a real human experience. I'm very grateful for his attitude. The shower is new and clean in total contrast with the place.
The last time I felt so disgusted like this was when I entered my room in a infamous hostel in Mumbai. I guess you get the picture. I only missed the geckos on the whle. I knew that the hotel was basic because of the numerous negative reviews.4 floors without lift. No issue. Decor oudated. No issue. Common shower. No issue. However, the smell of the room was unbearable. Ieuwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. The blanket had such horrible smell of dirt and cigarets that I had to remove it off the bed.Even worse, my own clothes started to get the smell of the room... It became so annoying that I decided to leave after the first night. I did not want this hotel to ruin my stay in Paris. I have called the Customer Service to help me but they did not manage to convince the owner to let me go without charge.I lost money but at the end of the day I was so glad to be away from there that I did not matter to me.To all backpackers considering to book this hole please be warned you are better off in a dormitory!!! I can not think of any category of traveler who wants to stay in that kind of setting. Even a cheap prostitute would not go for this slum.
The hotel is close to Ave de Clichy, 50m from a supermarket and small markets, bars and restaurants. Metro station is just a few blocks away. Wifi works good, The manager speaks English and, much more than this, helpful: he help me to find a place to stay, even when the hotel was full. For a solo traveller in Paris, Hotel de Nantes presents an excellent cost-benefit ratio
The hotel is a suitable for those on a budget. It is clean & basic. Exactly what I was expecting.
Free wifi Close to station Safer than it looks.
No lift. So imagine lifting and taking your suitcase up to the 6th floor Need to pay for showers Shared Toilet is dirty from other fellow users
The receptionnist is kinda rude
Uncomfortable Single bathroom per floor Single bath per floor
poor wifi, lots of traffic outside window, shared toilet on floor
CLOSE TO THE METRO.
No elevator, no remote control for tv, sheets weren't clean, bad odour in staircase, dodgy reception.
Budget friendly, offered a single room for solo travelers.
The facilities need updating- especially the bedding, pillows, and toilets (no toilet seats, broken flushes) Had to pay to use the shower.
Staff. Clean bed. Reasonable clean WC. Location near subway station, place easy to find.
Room (bad smell, rather ugly, very small) Ackward entrance with a code, feels like a prison. Reception closes at 1h. Payed shower. Few WC for many rooms.
Room was clean
No Elevator. so If you are staying in 4th or 5th floor, with your bags, god bless you.... no lights at night in stair cases.
Good quality/money ratio. Close to the metro station. Simple but clean.
If you compare prise/location/quality it is really on balance. Good place to sleep quiet rooms.
The price!!! for these money it is a great deal, you receive a clean room of your own, hotel is very close to metro
the sound isolation is awful, but you will survive for one night)
Modest hotel room near Porte de Clichy RER/metro station, close enough to walk to the Monmarte and Pigalle
3Euro to use the shower
Location Supermarket nearby Metro nearby Friendly staff
Pay for shower
I specified that the bill will be paid in cash but my visa card got charged anyhow. Now I have the amount still blocked, probably for another 2 weeks, even if the bill was regularly paid in cash.
I liked the location , if u don't want to expend a lot of money and for a short time will be perfect …..
Helpful staff, clean and good value for just few hours of sleep
Wished separate WC in the room instead of out in the corridor but this is how the house is built.
Where to begin? When I arrived I met a man at reception who spoke very little English and French. He only spoke Spanish, which made checking in take a very long time. I enquired about a shower and toilet during my stay, only to find out that neither were available. The mattress on the bed was very hard and no pillow had been provided. It was also covered in a thick layer of dust. The walls were covered in damp, dirt and miscellaneous stains littered the wall, floor and pipes. There was a huge bulge in the ceiling along with a number of smaller ones. The hotel is not in a good location at all. While it only took me around a minute to walk from the station to the hotel, three prostitutes approached me looking for business in this small time-frame. The wifi was very poor. I got disconnected on multiple occasions and during the brief moments that I was connected, it was incredibly slow, which made doing anything impossible.
Dirty, no facilities, rude staff, additional 3 Euro each time you wanted to use the disgusting shared shower. Shared toilets, no toilet seat, 60 stairs to my room on top floor, no lift, very poor fire precuations in a hotel that is smoking only. Vile!
bad room condition
The hotel charges Euro3 for the shared shower room but the staff allocated to me a shower room of light which was switched off frequently during my shower so that I had to have the shower in the dark.
