Its central location and very close to the public underground parking facility which is a bonus if you have lugguage or heavy bags, otherwise parking in the vicinity of the hotel is practically impossible. Only the room we had was a bit dull but ok for one night. |

Its location: quite central, on a beautiful street in La Rochelle, near the historic center and the port area. |

Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Carrying luggage up 2 flights of stairs. Noise from the street. Both understandable, so no complaints. |

The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel is very convenient to the train station. I was only having a quick overnight stay to visit Mont St. Michel so it was very comfortable. The breakfast was quite extensive as well |

Proximity to the centre of La Rochelle Lack of information about where to park and the distance from the hotel. Not good for elderly or disabled travellers. |

All staff were very friendly and helpful. Mme'Hotel de Paris' gave me an info/tourist brochure on arrival which although, not required as I know La Rochelle well, was very interesting and would be of great help to those visiting area for first time. Could do with a bit updating as stuck in 'seventies' decor which is very 'French' but otherwise very comfortable. Would stay again. |

Central location, very clean, quite a spacious room and bathroom and we were lucky enough to have a balcony. Staff were quite helpful. Overall it was good value for money. Thin walls and doors meant you could hear movements of other guests. The hotel decor is shabby, old and tired and facilities are basic. |

The staff was extremely friendly and the room was very spacious and very very clean. Our room had a balcony facing the street -- very nice. The hotel is ideally located in the center of town -- and within walking distance of the port and hotel de ville. |

This is the kind of old-fashioned hotel that I used to encounter all the time in France, with a certain charm you don't find in updated, interchangeable hotels with plastic furniture. It was clean and comfortable and the room was big enough that 2 people won't always be bumping into each other. Good location on a pleasant street and apparently family-owned, everyone was very helpful. Like the hotel, the breakfast was old fashioned, the coffee-croissant-bread that used to be the standard fare, plus OJ. Quite small compared to what other hotels usually offer these days. |

A pleasant, comfortable room with a nice view on a period house with a front garden. Good breakfast. Noise from the street on the first night -- bawling drunken louts. That sort of thing cannot be helped, alas. The other nights were quiet. |
