very friendly personnel
The Wifi did not work. The breakfast was way too expensive!
it was literally 50 m from the station so was very convenient. The old man at reception was very pleasant but refused to speaking wish and simply took the money, handed me a receipt, keys and Wi-Fi info. I had breakfast there one morning and it was good value as it even included cereal.
the room was very small and there was a bad smell of dampness from the bathroom the whole time and the sound of dripping water coming from either next door or above me. When I had my first shower, the shower tray filled with water as there appeared to be no drainage. I reported this and it was better after that. When I wanted to extend my stay, the old man just kept saying he couldn't understand and I'd have to come back when somebody else was there at 4pm the next day. That person was a lovely lady who explained the old man had had a car accident and before that spoke fluent French naturally, and also very good English. Apparently as a result of the accident he is relearning French and refuses to speak English. The biggest hassle was the Wi-Fi. It was one of those systems where you sign up to another provider and you must watch an ad for 30 seconds every time you log on otherwise the Internet cuts off after two minutes. This is very annoying and the Wi-Fi cuts out without warning when you are using it. My greatest disappointment was watching my team in the grand final, I could only see the bottom 2 inches of the screen as there was an ad on the screen that wouldn't go away trying to sell me additional computer hardware and every time you clicked on "not interested", it became a screen wide ad. The Internet cut out completely with five minutes to go in the game so I never got to watch my team finally win a grand final after 43 years. Then when I wanted to extend my stay, it was a big drama and I ended up only being able to stay for one night and had to change hotels for one more night. Apart from the Internet, the dampness and sound of water dripping all night, it was okay.

Could afford to have a room on my own and save money for more sightseeing. Own bathroom was great.
Bathroom was small and the shower nozzle wall bracket was broken. Wifi signal was too poor to use.
