We had a very pleasant stay at the Suites de l'hotel particulier de sautet. The owners Philippe and Edith were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is located right in the centre of the old town of Chambery which has some lovely shops and restaurants. Our accomodation was made up of 2 spacious rooms perfect for a family of 4 or 5 and a very spacious bathroom. Breakfast was also fantastic and great value for money. All in all, i would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We had a lovely stay and would of like to have stayed longer, the location is excellent and so is the building and decor. We were well looked after by Yvonne who made us very welcome and offered lots of advice if requested regarding the area. Breakfast was wonderful. This hotel boasts lots of quirkiness, character and charm. Can't wait to visit again.

The hotel was located in the historic centre of the attractive town of Chambery. The room was large, comfortable, quiet, decorated and furnished with great taste and attention to detail and had an excellent bathroom. The welcome from m and Mme Lanthelme Tournier was very warm and courteous. There was an excellent breakfast. I strongly recommend this unusual and charming hotel.

The building is amazing set in the beautiful historic quarter. We had a lovely warm welcome from Philippe. The suites are beautifully furnished with antiques and paintings and our room was huge. We had a great mini- bar and a flat-screen tv and a luxury bathroom. We were close to some great restaurants. The next morning we had a delicious breakfast of fresh bread, cold meats, cheeses, home-made jam and warm croissants with fresh juice and hot tea. Perfect. Philippe's wife was a delightful hostess. We will be back! Nothing, everything was perfect!

Very quaint b&b in a building from the 17th century. The room was big and very clean with a nice view of a small historic courtyard. The hosts were very kind and helpful with suggestions for the city. Breakfast was very nice as well.

We found this centrally located hotel to be a spacious, comfortable well run facility. The hosts were thoughtful and attentive and made sure of our comfort at all times. Breakfast was excellent and varied. Room was large and elegantly decorated. Ensuite modern, extremely clean and warm. We would highly recommend this facility. Building constraints have prevented the installation of an elevator. Some guests may find the stairs a little difficult.

The room was very large, comfortable and decorated very nicely. The hosts were very kind and accomodating, providing us with good information about the local area. Bathroom was lovely and newly renovated. The instructions to find the hotel were very helpful (and necessary). Provide instructions to get to the hotel a little earlier. We had already left for out trip and it was only by chance that we had a chance to check our email.

This was a real find! The suites are run by a wonderful couple who make their home feel like your home. Excellent location, close to all major attractions in Chambery. We had a large extremely comfortable room with antiques. We loved it and highly recommend. There is no car parking directly on site but the hotel arranges parking at a discount price at a nearby car park.

The welcome and helpfulness of the owners, nothing was too much trouble, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The position is brilliant, right in the centre yet tucked away in a small alley. There was nothing I didn't like, however it would be a good idea to point out that there are stairs to climb in order to reach the apartment and no lift.

The location within the pedestrian only area of Chambery was fascinating for our family. Although initially a little hard to find our hosts were very generous in helping to access the area by car and assisting with luggage. Then travelling with us to the nearby car park and providing tips on the area. Seperate bedroom areas for adults and children was appreciated. The location provided a wonderful short experience of the old town area.

Philippe and Edith are wonderful hosts who made us feel at home right away. The other reviews are right on the money and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only minor negatives are those already discussed which are lack of stairs (no problem for us) and the parking situation. I had some trouble finding the hotel since it is in the middle of the pedestrian area. We asked some local police who took it upon themselves to escort our car to the hotel. I didn't know that those little barrier things can drop into the ground with a button. Once we figured it all out, we found the parking convenient and the location superb. Our room was very comfortable and our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the loft where she stayed. We will remember our stay and treasure the memory.

The hosts are very knowledgeable about the history of their residence and the area. The rooms are huge, elegant, and well appointed facilities. If you want a peaceful and experience a part of history while not substituting any luxuries then this is the place to stay in Chambery.

Really enjoyed the experience of staying in such an old building which had been tastefully renovated, but still retained much of it's original features and quirkiness. Good level of comfort with nice guest lounge area and library with books on local area.(Small thing of note, bedside tables with a solid flat surface would be better than the stools with the curved wooden slats) Hosts were very welcoming and helpful and keen to ensure all went well with my stay.

Wonderful, helpful and friendly service. Philippe and Edith have great pride in their hotel (and the Savoie Region) and do everything to ensure that the guests are comfortable, Philippe provided us with a history of the hotel and Chambery and the food and service provided at breakfast was exceptional. We were privileged to spend a short time here and hope to be back in the future.

Very accommodating hostess and pleasantly decorated rooms. A little like having a 'home away from home' . Very centrally located so close proximity to good range of shops / restaurants. Decided to have breakfast in hotel and pleased we did - plentiful and nice touches like home made preserves and local speciality rolls. Be aware that there is no parking on site , though found an underground facility a few hundred yards away (and hotel has a discounted ticket for this). Also rooms are on second floor of old building. No problem for us but if stairs a problem , think twice.

The rooms were huge and clean... The owners couldn't be more helpful. The beds were comfortable. Yes parking is off site (but it is in the heart of the historical town where cars are heavily restricted) but the owners ensure it isn't an inconvience for you. We loved this hotel and the ambiance - we can't wait to go back again.
