Location, design, comfort
Small bed, small Classic room
Very compact. Needed to sit on toilet seat to dry feet after shower.
Central location Updated facilities
the room too small and it was supposed to be a superior room. The view from the windows was a wall! Dark room
Location. Modern style. Friendly and accommodating staff. Really comfortable room.
Toilet off bathroom. I'm not a big person but had to squeeze between toilet and door before I could shut the door!
Location, Food & service
wonderful location for the golden triangle and waterfront ,delightful light filled room, extremely comfortable facilities, friendly staff-we will come again.
Location,service Concierge was very helpful(Bahige)
Room a bit to the smaller size but it is ok.
We do not consider our self ether a young couple or a mature cuple. We are in our early 50s.we had a great time .in the city.we where passing through.
It seems no restaurant nor Bar in France sell Becardi as this is the only thing my wife has.it was very frustrating. we have found this in most french citys .
Great place, very quite, very romantic. We loved it! The stuff are friendly, you feel like at home
Everything especially the balcony we had in our room (418)
Friendly staff Good location clean hotel and room
Room was really small Breakfast was a disaster, we were there at 10 o'clock and the yoghurt was empty, the muesli was empty, there was only one slice of bread left, the cut apples were brown and there were fruit flies everywhere... For 23 euro per person I expect a good breakfast and not and empty buffet. Even after 1 hour the buffet wasn't refilled yet!
NOT FLEXIBLE FOR THE LATE CHECK OUT
Friendly staff, but more importantly this traditional building has been transformed into a modern French boutique dream! Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds and powerful shower. Would visit again as our stay was excellent
Fitness room only has two pieces of equipment and needs to be improved.
Modern design. Clean room. Hotel staffs able to speak English.
Staffs not that pro-active in going all out for hotel guests. But after a little nudging and displeasure from me, the hotel staff did the extra mile to assist me getting my 500 euro note changed to Euro50 notes. Well appreciated for this.
The location was incredible. Everything we wanted to do was in easy walking distance. The hotel was charming, with excellent architecture, and the interior designer/architect they hired to update the facilities did an amazing job.
The facilities were so wonderful, as an American, you would expect something like "Ritz Carlton" service to go with it. But instead, it's a bit more like the Best Western when you check in. That's fine, but it extends to having your room cleaned. We were gone from 8:00am to 3:00pm. When we got back from a day of wine tasting, we discovered that our room had yet to be made up. The maid we met in the hallway promised to do it when we left again at 5:00pm. When we got back at 9:30pm, the room was in the same shape it had been at 7:45am. We called the front desk, and while they apologized, you were left wondering what on earth had caused such a basic problem. At the end of the day, we could only conclude that this was a management problem, even more than a staffing problem. They seem to need different leadership to run the hotel as well as it could be run.
Great location. Loads of eateries close by. Very comfy bed. Great staff.
Nothing apart from the bar not being open in the evening.
Very nice location, beautiful rooms and bathroom, crisp linen and comfortable bed. Helpful staff.
The front desk refused to make a reservation for us for dinner, which is not ok for a 4star hotel.
One of the better options in Bordeaux. Rooms can be small, but the beds are very comfortable. Very nice decor and bath products. Stayed there 3-4 times and always glad to come back. Great location.
The spa staff could use a little more training on customer service. More English language channels would be nice
We asked for a room with a view and we had a room which overlooked the square with a side door opening onto decking with a table and chairs where you could sit and have an apero and look at the rooftops and spires of Bordeaux. Air conditioning worked well and great shower gel in bathroom. Close to rue St Catherine. Had drinks in the bar before going out to dinner.
The room had a fridge but the drinks were not very cold, but we must remember that we are in France not USA
The rooms were small but beautifully decorated and designed. Great beds. Staff were very friendly and gave excellent advise on where to go and what to see. Happy to book a restaurant for you if your French is not up to it.
Could do with the bar staying open after 9pm.
The friendly and professional attitude of the staff. Wonderful room, magnificent restaurant and ideal central position.
No tea and coffee making facilities.
- Staff very nice - Location very good - WiFi signal strong
- Smallest room we've even been to (and we have been to some very small places in Paris and Tokyo). - Stayed for 4 nights, and was only transferred to the room we paid for after 2 nights (had to spend 2 nights in the tiny room). They wanted us to pay extra to move to the "delux" room because the rooms of the type we paid for were rented out.
Friendly hotel staff.
The available TV channels did not broadcast the worldcup football matches; live stream thru internet was not functioning. Hotel staff could not fix it. Narrow rooms.
