“Excellent location, close to all the museums etc - we walked to everything, and in a very safe area (the Prime Minister's residence is just behind the hotel, so lots of police around). Friendly staff and a comfortable bed.”

Very good location - close walking distance to many key sites, and restaurants, bars and shops. The room was clean, but generally the hotel is quite old and in need of a renovation.

The location was good! Less than 10 min walk to two different metros. 5 min walk to Musee Rhodin. 7 min walk to Musee d'Orsay. 10 min walk to the Eiffel Tower. The girl at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and so helpful! The rooms were clean. Fair price compared to other hotels in Paris. I don't think there is air conditioning, so you might want to ask if you're planning on staying in the heat of the summer.

Excellent location, close to all the museums etc - we walked to everything, and in a very safe area (the Prime Minister's residence is just behind the hotel, so lots of police around). Friendly staff and a comfortable bed. The price of breakfast (13 euros) seemed excessive, but there was an excellent cafe just round the corner.

Very centrally located. Staff were friendly and unobtrusive. Room was small but very clean and well equipped. Bed was uncomfortable and hotel is older so there is quite a bit of noise from adjoining rooms.

The hotel staff were friendly and was able to assist us with all our questions. The hotel is centrally located and there is easy walking access to the city centre if you wish. The hotel is located in a good part of the city. The rooms were bigger than expected. We felt that the breakfast was expensive. We missed a bar fridge in the room and own tea/coffee making facilities.

My husband and I loved the location - quiet, down the street from embassies and different government buildings, an upscale french neighborhood. Lots of police in the area- felt very safe. Close walking distance to Rue Cler and Eiffel Tower. Close walking distance to M. D'Orsay. Helpful staff, very clean room - large size (we had a deluxe double room-surprised by hard large it was). Lovely bathroom. I would highly recommend it. You do walk to different areas for shopping, restaurants - but not far. I great place to 'come home at night' after walking the streets of Paris all day!

Staff was very courteous and friendly. Rooms are okay to sleep in, but to small, if you want to stay in. However, that is not a detriment over all. Paid internet only. 6 euro / hour, 10EU / 2 hours etc. They don't tell you this on the web site. Bathroom for 1 person only.

Close to Rue du Bac (charming street) and other great locations. Building and apartments are old, doors are cracked, wall and baseboard paint is peeling off, the so-called balcony was in terrible condition. The street is quiet, but you can hear everything from other apartments. It was not at all pleasant to stay in the hotel.

Every detail was thought of: my luggage was held when I arrived early, the staff was courteous and helpful, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, it was very quiet. It was the perfect place to rest in the middle of such a busy city. Wish the internet was free.

The location of the restaurant was very convenient to getting any where in the city. The room was spotless. Simple, but spotless. Comfortable beds. Good size bathroom. The street that the hotel is on is off the beaten path so the hotel was very quiet. Street noise does not disturb you. Nice lobby and back courtyard. It would be nice to include breakfast and wifi in the price of the room. Many hotels do that now.

I have stayed at the Suede several times over last 15 years. It is a very understated hotel and remains good value for money. The staff are friendly and rooms are elegant many with views over the gardens of the French pm. The location is quiet but convenient for metro which means everywhere is near! I've no complaints!

We are a family of 4 and we all loved everything about this hotel. Coming from Canada we had heard that hotels in Paris are dirty and small compared to our standards. But this was not the case here, the staff was extremely helpful and fluent with English. Our room had a separate bedroom with tons of room, a large bathroom, and when you opened the large windows they opened into a cute little courtyard. We had only a ten minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. Within a 5 minute walk you have a bakery and a little grocer that carries everything you could possible need. We would definitely come back here! The only down side was parking about a 10 minute walk away, and it was very expensive. But we have learned that this is everywhere in Paris.
