The staff were absolutely charming, and couldn't do enough to make our stay special. Also the hotel is really beautiful and very very comfortable, in a fantastic location. Really had a wonderful time there, and did not want to leave. Excellent hotel, and one I would definitely return to.

There was no Spa or pool, which one would expect in a 5 star hotel.

The restaurant was rather formal and relatively expensive compared to some of the better local ones.

The breakfast is over priced and not very good. Had breakfast near by on second day for €9.50 whereas it was €22 in the Hotel.

The design and decor are absolutely first-class, beautifully thought out. The ambience reflects charm and character. The staff are superb, warm, friendly, helpful, professional. They make the hotel what it is. Food and wines top notch. Bedrooms spacious, well-equipped, very comfortable beds. the finest hotel we have stayed in for years, possibly ever.

A great location to explore the island (if you find anything to be explored there). Nice hotel to stay for a weekend.

Room in category "Superior Double Room' is one room including bedroom and the bathroom is in the same room separated only with the curtain which is not very convenient. Plus it is wet in the room with a little bad smell. The description "this room has direct access to the garden" does not reflect the reality - it is wet in the room with a bathroom smell you can not open the window because the window is facing directly the breakfast tables which are 2 meters far from the room. The staff is extremely willing to help but absolutely unable to. Breakfast is served for extremely long time and you have to wait for a table to be dressed up etc though there is absolutely no choice and I think it is possible to prepare tables in advance. The restaurant is not worth it's money.

Nice location in the centre of St Martin de Re . Lovely garden area to sit away from the bustle of the harbour area.

Room very cramped and didn't represent value for money. 85 euros deposit was taken from our account in case we didn't turn up days before our stay. On arrival we were told we could not be accommodated in the restaurant. I was very disappointed as eating in the restaurant was one of the main reasons for booking the hotel. Seems to me that the hotel caters for it's own needs and the customers needs in our case were very much neglected.

The central location of Hotel De Toiras was a bous when visiting Il De Re. The staff were friendly and welcoming and made us feel very welcome. We will return again soon.

Our hotel room was individually designed and overlooked the garden. However, we would have preferred an overhead shower over the bathtub if there was not enough room for a separate shower.

Excellent location walking distance to restaurants and looking on to the harbour .. staff very helpful relaxing holiday beautiful island totally unspoilt . We enjoyed cycling around the island and stopping at beeches or some other small towns for a beer or a glass of vino it's a dream holiday will definitely go back again also weather very pleasant mid 20's which is ideal for cycling you sure don't need a car here. Its very easy you can get the bus from La Rochelle airport to St Martin it's cost about 5 euros. .

Truly a 5 star hotel - all staff very professional and friendly - excellent atmosphere in bedrooms and public areas - plenty of cheap Moules et Frites restaurants in the harbour area but also try the L'Avant Port restaurant which is first class.

The car park is being updated but they offer valet parking which is convenient and only waited 5 minutes for car to be returned when requested.

Hotel De Toiras is very conveniently located in a stylish seaside village. There are lots of things to see and do in the immediate vicinity including great shops and restaurants. The whole village has a very pleasing ambience. The staff were very willing to assist and did their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was pleasant and quiet as it looked over the garden courtyard.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly. It was located right in the busiest area of town but we heard no noise in our room that faced the back inner courtyard. I was very pleased by that. The bathtub was luxuriously deep and the heated towel rack was a treat. Everything was first rate and a very enjoyable stay.

Excelente atendimento. Hotel com muito charme e muito bem localizado, na praça principal. O restaurante é excelente.

É preciso avisar aos hóspedes nas reservas que é necessário ter autorização para entrar de carro na cidade e chegar ao hotel. O acesso ao centro é bloqueado e você não pode entrar para descarregar as malas. Poderiam fornecer um código temporário, como acontece quando você sai do centro da cidade e vai retornar.

(Chambre azyade) pour un 5 étoiles pas de plateau de courtoisie (thé café) - ménage pas très bien fait (catons qui sortent de sous les portes - nappe tachée - aération fenêtre sale et cassée) - volets : il faut presque enjamber la fenêtre pour les fermer) - pas même une bouteille d'eau offerte - le téléphone a sonné trois fois la nuit - une chambre dans l'annexe et pas dans l'hôtel. Petit-déjeuner: il a fallu demander pour avoir un fruit frais ou une salade de fruits ce qui est gênant alors que c'est prévu dans le menu continental. Tout juste un 4 étoiles mais certainement pas 5. Ce n'est pas parceque l'on passe par booking et que l'on a un tarif préférentiel que la prestation ne doit pas être à la hauteur de la classification de l'hôtel.
