People very friendly and helpful, breakfast generous and good choice. Room was a bit small especially as we had a small dog with us. Would have preferred to be on the ground floor. Also when we tried to drive out of small garage the car was ripped along the side from a stone in the wall.Take a small car if possible.

Location very convenient for sight seeing and eating out, friendly staff, extremely attractive old building, well signed from station, easy to reach on foot from station (10 minute walk with luggage). Self service breakfast buffet. For breakfast: Fresh fruit rather than tinned fruit salad and some unprocessed cheese would have been nice.

The room decor was very nice and completely remodeled. The place look new even though it was a couple a hundred years old. Here we go. The hotel list that they offer parking, but did not. I was lucky enough to find a parking place on the street near the hotel, but the streets of Arles are horrible unless you are traveling by horse or bicycle. Workers were building a new street behind the hotel and forgot to reconnect the sewer system. Our toilet and probably many others backed up into our shower (lovely). The sad part about it was the staffs c'est la vie attitude about it. When it came to checking out, they over charged me for the room rate I received on booking.com and were not too happy about refunding my additional money when I made them aware. Do not let this article stop you from visiting Provence as it and the French people are wonderful. I would not recommend staying at this hotel though.

The hotel was very nice. A bit rustic but for the price it was just fine. Very clean, very nice breakfast included. The staff/owners were very helpful. Location is great-only problem is driving instructions because of limited access, but once you get it down it becomes easier. Close to everything in Arles. Driving in city.

spacious room, nice breakfast, old and special atmosphere No elevator, parking problem - we had to park far away from the hotel, which was inconvenient with regards to the luggage . Apparently the hotel has a private garage which they didn't tell us about.... if you have a big car it's very difficult to maneuver the car in the old city small streets Not enough shower gel/shampoo for the entire family - when we asked for more they asked us why we didn't bring it from home....

De La Muette is a really nice hotel in a 12th - 15th restored century building. The location is really great for exploring Arles. The owners / staff were very nice and welcoming. We liked the way our room looked, with exposed stones and beams on the ceiling. Everything worked just fine and it was an enjoyable stay.

Convenient location and very quiet at night but very hard to get to by car. When asking for heat, the evening receptionist checked out our heating unit, said she set it properly and that it would take a while. When we returned in the evening, room was cold and she was off duty. Next morning, the proprietor was dismissive in making comments like "I am only wearing short sleeves" "the engine for the heater is controlled by several rooms" and "it is on and will heat". After much time, it started heating on day two. Not foreign customer oriented.

Hotel location was convenient, room was very comfortable, good breakfast buffet. Arriving by car is very difficult due to extremely narrow streets, numerous one-ways and erroneous gps routing. Parking is also difficult. No spaces in area in front of hotel when I arrived I was forced to wait 1 hour before one freed up. Hotel owner was blasé about situation and not helpful. I asked about the parking garage and he claimed that most people with rental cars didn't want to pay the 8 euro parking fee (I would have, gladly, but waas not offered the option.), That the garage was difficult to navigate and many guests preferred parking "down by the river" and walking "two minutes" uphill to the hotel.

Location was great. Walking distance to most of the city attractions and restaurants. Bathroom was very small. The walls were too thin, too noisy. WiFi didn't work in the room (only downstairs).

The room was simple but elegant. The staff were extremely helpful and between my pidgen French, their English and lots of humor we communicateed well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I only wish we had stayed longer there!

A very charming hotel in the middle of the old town, with a wonderful gathering place for breakfast in the morning. Enjoyed sharing ideas with other travelers. Not having the access code to get in the area was a sure way to arrive frazzled. If there were a way to warn people about this situation it would make getting to the hotel so much easier. As far as I can tell, everyone needs this information to get to the hotel. Mrs.Garmin can only do so much to help!

Excellent Experience, room with 2 double beds, wood, brick and stone design, spotless, with nice breakfast and the most important: just 2 minutes walk from the heart of the istoric center of Arles. You can take from the reception a pass code so you can pass through the road barrier and find to park for free just in front of the Hotel. The reception very helpful, proposed a nice restaurant, just 750 meters from the Hotel: Le Jardin de Manon. If you select it in summer period, please get dressed in uniform and helmet, as it's a mosquito's paradise (or better spray yourself). The food was delicious Impeccable, go for it with closed eyes

Alain and Brigitte were fantastic. We were a party of 16 and took over 6 rooms. They couldn't have done more for us. They recommended and booked restaurants that could cater for our large number and they were all excellent. 2 of our party had to stay at a different hotel but they were happy to let them join us for breakfast so we could all eat together. They really made our stay in Arles very special! Any request for extra pillows, towels were quickly dealt with. The location is brilliant being in the centre of Arles. All in all an excellent hotel and fantastic value for money. Thank you.
