Hôtel-Demeure Les Mouettes  

We toured Corsica by car in early April, this hotel was our 2nd stop having first stayed in ‘La Pietra’ hotel on the wild peninsula of L’ile Rousse. Les Mouettes has charm and character; it was very clean and tastefully decorated. Our room no. 18 had the most comfortable double bed of our trip, flat screen T.v, a fabulous en-suite bathroom and a small private balcony with a view of the pool and sea. The fridge was really handy to stock up on the local Corsican rosé for aperitif and picnic supplies. We felt very relaxed and happy there even though the weather was inclement - certainly a romantic choice. They have a very basic cold menu through the day, our favourite eat-out was at Da Mama in Ajaccio recommended in ‘The Rough Guide to Corsica’. Walking and exploring around Les Isle Sanguinaire was a good afternoon activity. All of the west and southern coast line from Calvi to Porto Vecchio is a must to explore.

The conditions in the hotel are really good. Everything is new and of good quality.

The receptionist girl is very arrogant. I understand this might be specific for French in general, but I was not expecting this behaviour in a hotel. Therefore, this spoils the entire image of the hotel. The prices in the room fridge and breakfast are prohibitive

The situation of the hotel is excellent, being 15 minutes walk from the town center, along the sea promenade. The bedroom was charming and spacious, as expected with a really nice sea view and direct access to the beach.

Staff were kind, attentive and had plenty of recommendations for restaurants in the area. The beach was close by and nearby shops included a boulangerie (bakery) and beach seafood restaurant. Facilities were well thought-out - toilet and shower available for early guests and rooms were clean and tidy.

Was a bit of a walk into town (15 min) and there was a fair bit of noise from the road if windows were left open.

Very decent hotel, charming private beach. Located 15-20 mins from centre Ajaccio. Nice personnel. Breakfast was good. All in all decent value and a great start of our holiday

Excellent hospitality, even at very early arrival. Large and comfortable rooms with crispy white linen. Romantic atmosphere, lots of shade while zipping drinks and staring at Ajaccio bay views.

We're a young couple from London and we booked our France trip about 5 months prior. We were so excited that we'd be staying in Hotel-Demeure Les Mouettes after much research on not only Booking.com but Trip Advisor and looking at pictures on their website etc. When we arrived it certainly didn't disappoint. We were greeted by an extremely personable, friendly young woman that spoke excellent English and took us on a brief show round of the hotel and it's services, before kindly taking our bags to the room. The room was superb (Superior Double Room) and although not a 'massive' room, it was a very good size and nicely finished with a big comfy bed, TV, fridge, etc. The best bit was the door that opened out from the bedroom onto our terrace, overlooking the private beach and sea waves. We were able to walk into the lively town centre of Ajaccio within 20 minutes, which is a fantastic walk along the sea front and is flat all the way. Overall, I could not recommend this hotel more - it is at the higher end in terms of price however I think what you pay for, you get and more. Excellent staff, relaxing atmosphere, superb location and we certainly look forward to going back in the future!

Nothing major, however breakfast is not included and is expensive at 18 Euros per person.

Accueil chaleureux et professionnel. Situation excellente , proche du centre , des sanguinaires et au calme. Parking, vue mer, calme et gentillesse. ..Que vouloir de plus. Habitués de la Corse mais nouvel hôtel pour nous...aucune déception et retour envisagé.

Trop court séjour.

L'environnement : vue mer, piscine et plage privée la proximité avec le centre ville le parking gratuit le personnel et la qualité du ménage le petit déjeuner

Une offre de tv trop réduite: que les chaînes de la tnt avec réception moyenne pour certaines wifi capricieux durant le séjour

Personnel très professionnel, sympathique, agréable et serviable, petit déjeuner bio et avec produits du terroir sur la terrasse face à la mer, chambre donnant sur la mer, piscine à l'eau de mer chauffée,propreté, situation de l'hôtel un peu en dehors du centre d'Ajaccio mais assez proche pour y aller à pied .

Tres belle vue sur la mer. Belle chambre, et personnel tres pro. Nous n'avons pas pu utiliser la piscine et la jacuzzi, il faisait trop froid... Dommage!

Rapport qualite prix un peu decevant... Et le petit dej a 20 euros, bien que tres bon... C'est trop cher!!!

la situation on peu dire les pieds dans l'eau , son charme avec sa cheminée dans le hall et le style de la maison était agréable . literie impeccable et la chambre bien insonorisée.

Juste un petit bémol la piscine n'était pas encore chauffée puiqu'on y était le WE avant les congés de Pâques.(dommage ) mais on reviendra une prochaine fois.

La situation de l'hôtel au bord de mer Le jacuzzi vue sur mer La décoration des chambres faite avec goût. Situation en bord de mer, bien que la plage soit très étroite, avec belle piscine et terrasse. Intérieurs clairs et de bon goût avec salon confortable. Petit déjeuner copieux.

Accès à la chambre non portégé en cas d'intempérie. Chambre relativement exigüe pour le prix, mais belle salle de bain. Bureau non utilisable, petit et de ce fait entièrement occupé par la télévison .

Bon accueil, proximité ville, calme.

Petit déjeuner : Manque de produits laitiers et peu de choix pour un déjeuner à l'américaine(mauvais rapport qualité/prix). Fermeture des portes à 22h. Il devrait y avoir pour un établissement de cette catégorie un gardien au moins jusqu'à 0h. Trop de portes à ouvrir avant d'accéder à la chambre
