The Hotel Montmorency is located at the foot of Carcassonne’s walls and across from the entrance to the medieval city. It includes Wi-Fi access, a pool and a hot tub.

Located in the heart of the medieval city of Carcassonne, le Donjon is surrounded by the city’s ancient ramparts. The hotel offers air conditioned rooms, a restaurant and bar.

Set in an 18th-century house with a period fireplace and ceiling paintings, Côté Cité offers en suite guest accommodation 250 metres from the Carcassonne Cité Médiévale.

La situación, el trato, y la decoración.
Beautifully presented guest house convenient for city centre and the medieval city. Would highly recommend it.
great location for walking to old and new towns. comfortable modern decor in a grand old building. friendly and helpful.
Loved the location. Breakfast was great. Room large and so comfortable. Shower had great size and water pressure.
No comment. Loved it.
Beautifully renovated house with all modern comforts.
Beds were hard and small sleeping pillows
excellent location for visiting the old walled city within half a mile from the entrance castle could be seen from the bedroom.
car park was restricting as the owner had to be there to open to let you in and out.Breakfast was very limited with very little choice and even had to ask for a second cup of coffee.Price which included breakfast was to high.
The house and grounds are exceptionally beautiful. The house has been meticulously maintained. Mr. Bernard loves his house, and it shows. The location is strange (on a busy road, across from a prison) BUT it is very convenient to the Cite. Carcassonne can be chaotic, but inside Demeure St. Louis, you could forget that. Our rooms overlooked the garden with a small view of the Cite. It was very quiet and peaceful - no sign of a busy road.
Everything was wonderful - absolutely no complaints.
Location and private parking.
Penny pinchers. Minimalistic breakfast. Had to ask for more butter. No milk on the breakfast table, had to ask for it. Hardly any toilet rolls, minimal soap. Cost cutting, everywhere.
Everything about the place it was lovely. The room was fab and I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The bath and shower in our room was not good for me. I am disabled and the 'No Shower' was not good. My partner on the other hand enjoyed it.
Ambience Space Decor Host Location
Beds were too hard and squeaked Need more on information on amenities of property, for example location of air conditioner. We had a hot and uncomfortable nights sleep before realising there was an air conditioner in room. Also breakfast whilst adequate, had very stale baguettes served.
The room we stayed in was so spacious and looked out onto the garden. Decorated in period style but with modern and spacious bathroom complete with bathrobes. The hotel was a 5 minute walk to the fortified city and a 10 minute walk to the main city. It was quiet, beautifully appointed and the breakfast was served in a grand dining room. Our host was friendly and extremely helpful, recommending restaurants, and arranging a cab and helping with our baggage. We would have no hesitation staying here again. Lovely to stay in a hotel that has charm and individuality and not a chain where every room looks the same. Each room is individually decorated. Perfect stay.
Plush, old-fashioned house. Friendly owner/manager. Convenient for access to both the medieval city and the ordinary city. Well sound-proofed - our room faced a main road but we couldn't hear anything from it. Good breakfasts, with excellent croissants and unusual high-quality jams etc. Attractive bedroom and bathroom, with copious hot water.
The outside looks a bit forbidding when you first arrive - perhaps a welcoming well-designed sign would help. Payment had to be in cash, and I don't recall being warned of this before arrival (but the owner was very happy for us to pay late in our stay, once we'd had a chance to get to a bank machine).
Big room with traditional furniture - luckily at the back overlooking the garden rather than the local prison or main road - huge bath - mdf panelling thro' out - what happened to wood? - secure parking (gate code required from manager)
The manager was outstandingly strange to the point it felt he was literally spying on us - not friendly or welcoming in any way - when we returned from shopping he almost leapt to confiscate a bottle of wine! Clearly takes no notice or reviews -breakfast extremely basic - overall very poor value and not enjoyable at all - amazing what one person can do
The position of the B&B is ideal to visit the old Citi and the new town. It is decorated to a very high standard and very clean throughout. We stayed for three nights and our room had a great view of the garden and Citi. I would suggest to choose a room at the rear of the property as the front looks over a busy road and a prison.
The owner is very abrupt and bordering on the rude, on the day we left we ordered a taxi to the airport, my wife asked if she could use the toilet as we had checked out of our room, he reluctantly agreed with a lot of muttering. We had to wait for the taxi on the front steps on the edge of the road opposite the prison, as he took our money and wanted us to leave. When booking I was not aware that they do not accept any sort of cards but require cash to settle the bill.
Great service, wonderful close-in location, very pleasant room in a wonderful old building. The staff were friendly and helpful. On site parking was a huge plus. Not far from the old city and near the old city.
It was a bit hard to find. My GPS got me there, but the access is just a bit off a primary road.
Attitude of owner! Demanded payment in cash before we'd even seen the room or been told of facilities. Held passport until I went to the ATM to withdraw cash.(not quite sure if this is legal?) On leaving owner checked room before we'd even got down the stairs and demanded 2 euros for a 250ml bottle of water which we assumed was gratis as that was not even listed on the minibar tariff or mentioned anywhere else in the room literature. For 150 euros a night room I think this is sort of attitude is cheap and insulting. Rooms look like a cross between a 1970's student flat and a third world brothel. Unless you want to be made to feel like a criminal avoid this establishment like the plague.
Good location with easy access to medieval city and bastide. Couldn't help comparing price with our previous less expensive but equally stunning accommodation elsewhere in France but I suppose Carcassonne is high tourist demand.
Wifi bit dodgy
A lovely building and garden with a terrific breakfast, and the perfect location to explore the medieval city and the markets.
Demeure Saint Louis is ideally located between the cite and the town. The owner is extremely helpful if you need information for sightseeing etc. The house is tastefully furnished and decorated with expensive modern and antique fittings. The breakfast is typically french including very fresh bread and croissants. It is excellent value for money and is definitely a hidden gem.
Only 10 mins walk to the château. Décor of bedroom (St Louis) deliciously OTT. Very well air-conditioned.
Bed rather hard for my liking. Breakfast between 8 and 10 was a bit late for me.
Beautifully individually decorated rooms. Ideal location within 10 mins walking of the medieval city and the 'new' city. Perfect host.
Somewhat inconvenient not being able to pay by card.
Location, decor, garden, building and breakfast were all good.
One pillow per person is not sufficient for €150 a night. Street noise. No way to contact owner during stay- no phone in room.
Room was beautiful, great bathtub in which to share a champagne bottle (which can be found in the in-room fridge). Breakfast was quite nice
check in at 5 is too late, check out at 11 is too early. was not expecting to have to pay cash, supposedly credit card machine was not working.. my wife was not feeling well, requested if we could check out an hour later, and the guy in front said no, was almost asking that we leave a little earlier than the 11 o'clock check in. did not sit well with me
