The environment of Turckheim is beautiful and the Hotel Des 2 Clefs in a perfect position to enjoy and explore the village. The hotel decor is lovely traditional and authentic. Private parking possible, wifi signal good.

We have stayed often at Des 2 Clefs and will continue to do so. The location is unbeatable and the hotel has great charm and style. Parking nearby is plentiful and free. Although the hotel does not have its own restaurant, it is linked to one a couple of hundred metres away which is very good (Auberge de la Contesse), and there are several others within a short walking distance. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but it looked good and the village has surprisingly few other options early in the morning.

The prestige rooms(3 and 4) in the main building are lovely and reflect the age of the building. However, you can hear the guests in the rooms above walking about on very creaky floors. OK if you like atmosphere - but maybe choose a different room!

Central location in small quaint town, town is a good base to explore Alsace. Next door to supermarket and bakery (no need for hotel breakfast). Free parking out the front (no need to pay for parking)

Our TV had no reception, character old hotel with thick fabric covered walls, room was musty and stuffy even with all windows and doors open, room needed a lot of basic repairs. Breakfast not included in room rate.

Lovely hotel in a gorgeous village. We really enjoyed our stay and the family room (which is actually 2 bedrooms separated by a private corridor that has a lockable door at the end) was perfect for our family of 5.

The church bells which rang loudly at 6am and repeatedly at 7am!

First bedroom had broken shower; staff changed room without any fuss; Second bedroom had no shower! But big bath and a better view over the main square

The location is great, right in the heart of old town. The women at the front desk were very nice. The room was clean.

I've been fortunate to travel to Europe often so I have many hotels to compare this to. It is very old fashion looking. The rooms are very dark (lots of reds/burgundy color). The tub is very old with no glass shield to help the water from going all over! It is not air conditioned (I did know that in advance). Poor lighting for doing make-up and hair. Breakfast was average.

Warm welcome. Nice place to stay.

The DBL rooms were too small. Suite was ok from the size, but it smelled old :).

Nice, old hotel in the middle of Turckheim.

The weather was very hot, and the room was even more hot. Impossible to get just a little fresh air.

Turckheim is the most beautiful little village and this hotel has so much charm. So close to lots of the other little villages of the region including Colmar and Kayersberg.

The shower/bath was a little strange... It is a bath, with an extendable shower head but no wall fixture or shower curtain. So when showering you must sit down in the bath and wash yourself that way because if you stand, water will go all over the bathroom, and you'll be holding the shower head the entire time. Not ideal for washing your hair!

Excellent hotel in great location with large car park. A wonderful step back into history. Turckheim is wonderful.

Overall cleanliness was excellent but strange roll-pillows wrapped in bottom sheet were very stained. However, could be removed and standard pillows in wardrobe. Courtyard could do with a spruce up.

Fabulous historic building. Beautifully situated in the town. Restful and relaxing lounge areas ideal for a late evening drink. Charming interior design. Good outdoor terrace area. Very accommodating staff, nothing too much trouble. Car parking very close to the hotel.

Fascinating village and beautiful buildings. We appreciated being upgraded to a room with elevator access for the lug

Dated furnishings and as one of has allergies to dust, the old carpet and wallpaper meant much sneezing. The restaurant associated with the hotel served French onion soup which should never have passed inspection. Onions were not carmelized so soup was tasteless. And we were looking forward to it.

Hotel in a historical building from the 1600's in the center of town. We had a huge family room on the second floor. The décor was unique, staff polite and everything was as advertised. If you want a reasonably priced, unique and historical hotel that is clean and nice, this is it.

The furniture in the room was a bit dated and breakfast was too expensive for us to consider taking advantage of when there were bakeries and a grocery around the corner but overall very nice, historical hotel.

very little apart from location - dresses itself up as a 4 star hotel but behaves like a 1 star - sorry to be so harsh, but we were very disappointed.

Lack of visible staff - place was absolutely dead in the evening - vast seating areas but noone to even serve a cup of coffe or drink in the evening. Reception man was offhand, rude and clearly completely disinterested in us or guests - desperate to get off duty - dressed in rather smart suit so probably was off to a party - maybe was the owner's son? Needs lots of customere skills training before can be let loose on desk again.
