In a Haussmannian-style building, this 3-star hotel is located across from the Maison de la Mutualité and 230 yards from the Cardinal Lemoine metro station.

In the lively Latin Quarter, this hotel offers elegant guest rooms equipped with a TV, some with a balcony. It is 120 yards from Cluny - La Sorbonne Metro and RER B Station.

In the heart of the Latin Quarter, Familia Hotel is located less than half a mile from Notre Dame Cathedral and a 3-minute walk from Maubert – Mutualité Metro Station (line 10).
Score from 452 reviews Good
The area, the staff especially. Hotel has easy access to metro and RER direct from Gare du Nord. Great bars and restaurants nearby.
Only had 3 days...
Great location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean room, nice atmosphere
WiFi less than fully functional
good location room (single) well organised access to facilities cleansiness
poor quality WiFi, often stops thin walls, you could easily hear conversation room next door the standard breakfats (cofee+muffin) expensive; the continental one you have to wait.
The friendliness of the people at the reception desk; The breakfast for 9€ included yogurt and fresh fruit--excellent value for money; The room was quite small but thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort. I especially liked the lighting treatment, which creates a cosy atmosphere. I also really loved the booklet they have created explaining the history of the site. Fantastic idea!
The single bed I had was quite narrow, to fit the confines of the room, probably 70 cm. Large people should probably reserve a double room and not a single.
For 2 persons the room was extremely small. All the rest was ok.
Been comng to Trois Colleges for many years. Never disappoints. It's very well located for everything you want to do. Recently refreshed and looking very bright, modern and clean.
Location was superb and very accessible by train from the airport. the hotel was clean and comfortable although the room was tiny. The staff were always keen to be helpful.
The room was tiny although we did expect that in Paris. Bring your own hairdryer! Hotel one was rubbish !!!!!
room size understandably cramped, but adequate.
Great location in Paris, friendly staff, clean rooms, value for money
Very tiny room, not too abundant breakfast
I usually stay here when in Paris, which I visit 2-3 times a year. It's very well located for left-bank sights, activities and the small cinemas nearby. Rates seem lower than many others in the area.
Beds are not the most comfortable. Also, no tea/coffee making equipment provided, a problem as I needed hot drinking water for medication.
Noise from water cistern when other guests used their bathroom
Great location, terrific staff and service, clean efficient rooms, lovely breakfast. Will certainly return.
Somewhat small rooms and upper floor corridors, but no big deal - one is there mainly just to sleep!
At first when we walked into the hotel the most friendly staff I've ever seen greeted us. Our check-in time was at 2 but we arrived at 12 and they let us stay check-in once the room was finished cleaning. The atmosphere in the room was very cosy and everything was very clean. The room seems to be recently renovated, even though it was small, it was the best option I ever had and I am sure this will be the place I come back to
Breakfast room was large and service to table, persons working In hotel were nice too
Small room and wardrobe and not so much place for clothes and other items.bathtube was high and diffucult to go to take a shower.
All staff members whom I met were very kind, the location was perfect (a short walk to metro and rer stations, close to notre dame, Luxembourg gardens, la Sorbonne, etc.), and the area was calm yet close to the hustle and bustle of Paris.
A large room should not be expected in the heart of Paris if you choose a single room. I really don't have any complaints.
Wifi free but a bit flaky Very small (single) room, although I did not spend much time in it after all
The location is good, a short stroll down the road and your at the Seine. The parking at the underground silo is quite expensive, but convenient. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean
Wi-fi very slow
It was with in walking distance to almost every tourist attraction Luxonbourg park was excellent what ever time of day. The staff where all approachable & most spoke good English as our French is poor.
We liked every thing about it
The location and the hotel as it was.
During our stay it was not more than 24 C. I think the room might be to warm on erally hot summer days. It was already a little to warm during one of the nights.
small shower room
Most hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Clean rooms.
There were no rooms available for 4. You are not supposed to have food or drink in your room. The rooms are very tiny.
Location was excellent. The staff very friendly .Our room was spotless
A bit more space in the rooms would have helped with our luggage. However location made up for this.
Awesome location on a quiet street next to the Sorbonne. Friendly and helpful staff, updated facilities, air conditioning and very very clean. I have stayed in similar Parisian hotels that were noisy, not very clean, and staff was rather snooty. This hotel is such a bargain for a very cheap price. My colleague booked a hotel across the street that was more than double the price - and the only difference was a better breakfast. But his room did not have air conditioning. I will stay at Hotel des 3 Colleges again. Merci beacoup to les staff!
No complaints about anything. For the price, this hotel cannot be beat!
1) The relationship between the very (very!) high price (140 eur each night) and the corridors and room size: these are not hotel corridors or rooms, but real "holes", even if design-furnished. We two could not walk or move in it at the same moment. Really a shame. 2) This is not a families friendly hotel: for the first time in our French travels we paid the baby cot (8 eur each night!) and the milk in the biberon. We were informed about the cost of the bed, but this doesn't mean anything, since we had no choices to do differently, mostly if considering the room size and, consequently, the double bed size: the baby could have never slept with us! 3) The rudeness of the cleaning woman and reception girl in charge on Sat July 12th morning: when we asked the pleasure to have some milk for the baby in the biberon, they were quite puzzled and hardly gave it to us, remarking it was not free, but 1,50 eur charged (... NO COMMENT). Plus, when they gave it to us it was really steaming: I kindly remarked this and asked some cold milk or an ice cube and they replied: "If this does not fit you, you can do it by yourself". NEVER HAPPENED SOMETHING LIKE THAT BEFORE.
