The hotel is in a perfect position for sightseeing. Our room (No. 32) was large, comfortable and had a lovely outlook. Also, it had very effective double glazing, which was useful as it can get noisy outside! The free Wifi access was great, and we had an abundance of power points. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The air-con is not very effective. It was turned up to max but made little impact. However, we were in a heatwave, so perhaps we expected too much. We didn't try the 10 euro hotel breakfast because of other reviews. The breakfast at the cafe next door is lovely, and a good place to sit and enjoy the ambiance of the city - however, it is no longer (at 12 euros) the more economic option. There is no mini-bar or tea/coffee making facility in the room.

The hotel is excellent and good value for the money. It is absolutely centrally located especially for the Christmas market (our purpose). Read some of the reports and don't recognise the complaints. No noise. Good size clean room and bathroom. Lift is small but typically old style French - OK for two of us with small carry-on cases. Lovely and well supplied breakfast.

Fabulous position in the centre of the city. Beautiful old building, especially the breakfast room (though can also recommend breakfast at the adjoining cafe to enjoy the mid-19th century decor). Rooms small but comfortable, staff very pleasant.

Very central location, beautiful old building. I was lucky to score a family room (room 32) which was big with a view of the square.

The room was large and comfortable. The beds were comfortable too. Great location and everyone was very nice to us!! Not a complaint but just a suggestion. Both my husband and I had the sniffles and sure wish the hotel (and other hotels) would have tissues! Our noses would thank you!

Perfect location on interchange of two tramlines, and near many wine bars and cafes, and right next door to the tourist centre.

It is centrally located in a nice part of Bordeaux. The hotel and room was small and run down, equivalent to a 1 to 2 star hotel.

The special location and one of the best view I had from a hotel window. The bad first impression with the long corridor through the recepction was completed changed once I arrived in my room, simply bau nicely furnished, a very good and clean bathroom (where I miss the support for duche myself easily), I'll recommend for friends. I wrote above, it is difficult to have a douche with this old telephone aparatus. And I can't charge my computer, althogh the internet operates quite well.

On arrival my wife and myself were met by a pleasant and courteous receptionist. Our double room whilst not being the largest was very adequate. It was clean and well presented with a comfortable bed.and good sized bathroom. The hotel was typically French. We travelled with another couple and purposely booked this hotel for its location. The only thing that was missing was a bar and a restaurant although you could have breakfast.
