Location. Basic but comfortable and good value.
This hotel is in a good location near restaurants and metro stops, the wifi is fairly good and the staff are friendly but not overally helpful. Top tip - try restuarants nearby!
Rooms and hotel are dated. Needs renovation.
We arrived early and were able to leave our luggage in a cupboard while we went off to drop off our rental car. The room we were given was on the 4th floor (no elevator) but was well worth the walk up. It was modern and clean and had 2 lovely balconies to look out of. Felt the area was very safe. Supermarket, patisserie, cafes, and restaurants on the same block.
Street noise was a bit of a challenge in the early morning but ear plugs did the trick.
The hotel was better than I expected for it's rating. The room was very clean, with a lovely big shower and very large wash basin (all looked newly refurbished) and a very comfortable bed. It is about 10 mins walk from the Moulin Rouge and the nearest underground station. Many restaurants within easy walking distance and a supermarket next door. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
The only thing I didn't like was the fact that we were on the fourth floor and there is no elevator. Fine for younger people but for people in their sixties like us it was a tough climb after a day of sight-seeing. Next time I would make sure to ask in advance for a room on a lower floor (the hotel was full so not possible to change rooms). They did also say that they are putting in an elevator next year.
Close to metro station, clean room, friendly staff (even though you have to first get used to one of the daily receptionists way. To our culture, he sounded very rude at first. But once I needed his help I got that his way of communicating was that. He was helpful) Great Boulangerie in front of the hotel and a good Carrefour at the corner.
No elevator. If you are taking big luggage, I wouldn't recommend. Nobody helped us with the luggage. No air conditioning. The street was a bit noisy.
Good location, decent break fast.
Very small and congested rooms, extremely small break fast place -suffocating
the hotel was close to everything, close to metro and good restaurants nearby :) very nice staff!
The location The shower room
The staff were very nice but could have been a bit more responsive
Location is great, close to the subway and lots of good restaurants and cafés in the neighbourhood.
The room is sometimes a little noisy (especially when your neighboors flush their toilet).
Location and friendliness
Room whilst being well appointed and very comfortable was very noisy.
Relatively poor breakfast menu - no fruit, fresh vegetables, cheese or ham.
. cozy room...good wifi in room... but not in corridors. ..
Not look like a hotel...No lift... a lot of doors to separate rooms... so made us difficult to find our room.
not much really
the room is really old and saggy, had a funny smell, window does not open, there was a fly got trapped inside, staff at the reception did not want to care, overall, pretty poor, stay away is my recommendation
simple and comfortable rooms (the renovated ones) nice, popular, lively neighbourhood few tourists
some rooms still need renovation
Clean, restaurants and shops around- 5mins walk of closest tube station
It is not exactly of what is shown in pictures - quite old building. Without elevator. too many receptionists and as a result a bit of confusion- they took the money from my credit card even though I told them that I want to pay with a different credit card.
Very nice and cosy room, clean and bright. Staff was always helpful. Good value for the price.
The staff were friendly, and the room very comfortable. We had the room which joined onto the courtyard, so every morning we had a Parisien scene to look out upon. The shower was awesome, and the WiFi completely free. Excellent location, with all the local amenities, plus some pricey but welcoming cafés. A nearby park had wildlife I'd never seen before, and as it was Spring some ducklings and fluffy baby moorhens. Over all, a brilliant experience was had at Hotel Batignolles.
At 10€ a day, breakfast was a little too pricey. Especially as it was a continental breakfast. Don't get me wrong, the pastries were excellent, and I'd never get tired of having pain au chocolat for breakfast. But there wasn't enough, in my opinion, to justify 10€.
location is good and receptionists are nice
The WIFI is totally bad it is working very very slow to a degree which you not able to do anything or use the service at all in the last night of my stay they ignore the room and they didn't even provide clean towels
location tranquility quiet
Great location. Roughly 30 mins walking distance to all the main places. Nice room, friendly service. Nice bars and restaraunts nearby.
Very helpful and cooperative staff. All 3 staff members we had contact with over the stay were good and were always willing to assist. Caroline was very helpful in assisting with our early morning travel plans to Lourdes and the Night Manager tried his utmost to locate the cheapest train fare for our travel to London on Eurostar. The gentleman on duty in the morning was equally helpful organising taxis etc. The location was good as well.
Probably lacked the facility of a lift resulting in the four of us having to drag heavy bags up a couple of floors.
The location is very good, very close to metro stations. The area is surrounded by a number of restaurants. You can even walk to Galerie Lafayette on the boulevard Haussmann in around 15 minutes. The hotel is clean with comfortable bed.
The heater in the room did not work properly, making the room a bit cold in the evening. The double room is not spacious.
Friendly staff and location is very close to metro/super market.
The guy who works late in the night is a bit weird.
Cheap and cheerful hotel with lovely staff and in a great location. Just missing a few touches like tea making facilities, safe in room but that's nit picking.
Hotel Batignolles is in a good area. Very convenient to attractions like Moulin Rouge.
There was a male staff member working on the reception desk in the mornings that wasn't too helpful or friendly.
