Perfect romantic small 2 star Paris hotel. In the middle of St Germain.
The lively street got a bit noisy late at night.
Location was good
The single room was too small as well as the bathroom, not enough space for a proper shower. Stairs up to the first floor.
Location, cleanliness of room, helpfulness of most of the desk staff.
The total uselessness of one desk guy, who consistently failed to help or to follow through when there were problems. The fact that the elevator does not go to the ground floor, so you have to drag luggage up a narrow, winding staircase to get to checkin desk and elevator.
The location was fantastic. So close to all cafés bars and shops. Rue de buci not far. It is a wonderful area to stay for a Paris break. The breakfast was good value for €8 in Paris. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The wifi signal is too weak for emails but ok for general internet but sometimes the power point didn't work to charge the battery.
Very nicely situated, nice area for walking, fair distances to the most important places. Clean rooms.
Small room, noisy street.
loved the neighbouhood
small shower, but OK
tiny dark rooms; loud music on weekend nights from bars on the ground floor and neighbouring buildings
It was very clean and bright. Lovely to stay in. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful and kind. The location of the hotel is great, right next to a Metro station and a ten minute walk from Notre Dame Cathedral. The bed was very comfortable and the wi-fi was free! Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again!
good location, friendly desk staff
room rather cramped and dreary, little light, worn mattress, thought it expensive compared to other hotels I have used in Paris, Wi-fi did not work my second night there, but was OK in reception area the following morning
The location of the hotel was perfect. Very lively area and some fantastic restaurants and bars - although some where on the pricey side so worth checking prices before settling anywhere for the night! The hotel room/bathroom was clean.
We were in fact speechless when we first entered the room - the pictures give a very different impression. It was small, very dated and tired. A lot of noise from the bars below until the early hours (at least 3am) and with no air con, radiator on and unable to open a window (because of the noise below) it made it difficult to sleep. The staff were not helpful and in fact not overly friendly. Breakfast was added to our bill for the day we arrived at night (10pm) which when queried was reluctantly removed. A silver ring was accidentally left in the room after checking out, on returning 30 mins later to collect it we found a cleaner in the room cleaning for turnaround, on asking if she'd found it she took it off her finger and handed it over - not sure if it was there for safe keeping or not!!
location is great, there are some nice bars around the hotel
Central location, very quiet at night, convenient for retaurants and metro, direct line to Gare du Nord close by, immaculatelyclean bathroom
Access from street to reception via narrow stairs, tiny lift, but inevitable given the architecture of the building
Location of hotel.
Room did not match description and was not as clean as the pictures show. Booked it because of a lift, but you had to climb spiral staircase to get to first floor so the lift was of no use to us. Could hear the party music all night through the room. Not as clean as expected. No radio or iron provided in the room. Staff was ok, but didn't provide help when seeing that I was struggling with bags and a small child on the stairs.
The location is great...A very lively part of Paris!!
The rooms need upgrading - Somewhat dated (furniture, linen...). Some of the staff could be more helpful. Cleaning could be better. The television is very small, and does not have any cable channels in English../..
The staff were very nice; they helped me get a special shuttle to the airport. The neighborhood is always fun and convenient.
Stairs lead to second floor lobby, no elevator from lobby, so luggage is a problem for a woman. Very heavy fire doors and poorly lit corridors also make it difficult for a woman who is no longer young. Although the bathroom was new and fresh, the towels were frayed. Had single room on a window well, and the lighting was so-so.
No internet connection in the room. Very small bathroom
stairs and dirt
Location, price/value, cleanliness, ease of booking
Didn't know we had to climb stairs to get to reception desk & elevator. We had someone with us who had difficulty with stairs. Booked hotel partly b/c it has elevator.
Great location (5 min to Notre-Dame, 45 min to Tour Eiffel... And region Saint-German-de-Pres is simply very nice place to stay), fair price (only for Paris - it's ok), wifi worked in the room (4th stage), good cleaning, a lot of restaurants and stores very close to hotel (you can find ysl, Armani, Cartier, Rolex, Louis Vuitton etc in 5 minutes by walk). Ideal place if you are going to find out Paris, not to stay in room all the time. For sleeping, taking shower it's rather good.
It was very noisy outside! Bars on the 1st floor worked until 2-3 am... Garbage truck started working at 7 am and had been working for 30-40 min every day... If the windows were closed, we were able to sleep well. Rooms are tired (but cleaning is very good!), no safe in the room, no air condition (I am not sure, because it was rather cold and it wasn't necessary)... Only one man from the reception (the youngest and the kindest man) remembered us by face... Others could give your keys to anybody else....
Good location for this money. Not far from the several metro stations. Elevator.
Very noisy at night!!! If you want sleep well-not to choose this one. Sometimes receptionist don't speak English. Small elevator. No air conditioning.
The staff were very friendly & helpful. We needed laundry the very first night in Paris and they found for us within walking distance and open on a Saturday night. All week they went above what we asked for. The neighborhood was very fun. Always something to watch from our window. Loved the vitality of the area. Many great restaurants in the neighborhood. Notre Dame and other historical sites were a quick, easy walk from our room.
No elevetor from street level to the first floor where the reception desk was.
I like the location and the price.
The room was too small.
