Hotel Des Cedres  

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel which is only a few minutes from the town centre.Our family room was very spacious

We were welcomed very warmly. Our room was large and clean. We were able to park our car in their underground car park, albeit accessibility was very difficult because we have a large car, and the entrance was very tight, luckily we are both retired driving instructors, it was not for the faint hearted. Would have liked tea making facilities in room, but France seems not to offer this at many hotels.

Unfortunately two mini bvuses turned up with very loud inconsiderate people who had little regard for other customers staying in the hotel. It was like a plague of locust had gone through the place at breakfast. This f course was not the hotels fault.

We were only at this hotel for one night. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms/bathrooms were very clean.

The rooms were very warm no fans/aircon.

I have stayed at similar 2 star hotels in the past at much more reasonable rates. Was ok but did not justify 3 stars.

The room we got was very spacious.

Sanitary facilities are pretty old. Better to be be replaced.

The staff

As return guests this is our 5th possibly 6th stay at Cedres. We use it as overnight stop going to south of france / returning from our holidays. It is ideal for short break or overnight stay. Always a friendly efficient check-in, no fuss,comfortable bedrooms and excellent shower. Walking distance to cafes and bars and the many tourist attractions on offer. parking on street or in secure car park. Buffet breakfast taken in the little consevatory area is delightful, typical croissants, toast, various spreads, yoghurt, fruit...something for everone and although they do not lay on a huge spread, buffet is topped up and plentiful for those with a healthier appetite. A hotel with character and charm.

The room we had this time looked a little run down in terms of decor however the bathroom was spanking new - a lovely wet room and separate toilet. The bed mattress and base looked new. My impression is that some rooms are undergoing some renovation, The furniture was a little mix and match and the walls seemed to warran a lick of paint. All said, for one night it doesnt really matter but for a special occassion you might want to specify an upgrade if possible.

Hotel was in a good convenient location with easy 10 minute stroll to old town and the shopping precinct.we had a car and easy parking was available in the street outside.

All good.

Qualité de la literie, quel bonheur ces matelas !!

Il y a un parking mais l'accès est très étroit, mes gentes s'en souviennent ...

Chambre mansardée, vieillotte, personnel disponible mais très lent pour répondre...

La gentillesse du personnel, la qualité de l'accueil, la proximité du centre ville et le calme. La facilité relative du stationnement. Confort de la literie.

Chambre très petite, ne correspondant surement pas à un 3 étoiles.Pas de chevet ni de lampe, alors on pose ses lunettes et son bouquin par terre !!
