Very friendly girl at the reception. Interesting design and perfect location. Not a good idea to get directly to the hotel by car. You better park somewhere first (good and not that expensive option is Austerlitz parking garage around 10min walking). The hotel is in general quite, but there was a annoying noise comming from the corridor everytime someone was walking by.

I really like the raport quality price, the design and charm of the rooms and overall the location, in the city centre of Strasbourg. The shower could be better as it is not well fixed on the wall.

Rooms were nicely set up, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good. The shower was lovely and warm and lots of water! Wireless dropped out all the time and I had to put in my user name and password continuously. Rooms were a little dark - two light bulbs had blown in mine. Room a little cold, but it was minus 14 outside.

Personal at the desk was really friendly. They allowes us to cancel a night with short period notification without charging anything. No heating in the bathroom. The most annoying thing was that the shower has no support, so if you want to take a shower you have to grab the shower with one hand. Then the shower is separated from the rest of the bathroom just with a curtain. This makes a lot of water to spill around in the bathroom. No international channels on television.

Basic but nicely decorated rooms of good size. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Excellent location. Very poor lighting of the rooms. Very unpleasant and strong smell (fustiness) in the room (No.3).

The inner city of Strasbourg is free of traffic and the hotel is situated in the heart if town so very calm and silent location. The centre (place Kleber) is just 300m away and trams stop virtually in front of the hotel. Cathedral, river and shopping streets are all at very short walking distance. The breakfast is a nice buffet for a very fair price. The only downside of the hotel are its thin walls. (!)

* I liked the design of the Hotel. All the rooms are names after chemical elements. I was in room Manganese. * The hotel reception members were very nice and competent * Wifi available when asking for login/password * Room: clean bed, bathroom, WC, hairdryer, shampoo, towels, * I haven't tried the breakfast * checkout at noon instead of 11 AM as other Hotels * The window of my room was on the same level as the outside ground floor, did not liked that * My room was just next to the laundry room, so after 9 AM I was disturbed by the non-stop sound of the washing machines * not easy to close door by key, tricky ;)

Location is fantastic. Decent breakfast and clean rooms Do not get stuck with the Bronze room which is next to the check-in desk on the first floor. The room is located beside the heating system so all night we heard a loud, unrelenting clanging noise that kept us both up all night. We asked to switch rooms but the hotel was completely booked.

Great location and great price. It's only a few minutes of walking distance to any part of the pedestrian area in the city center. There's lots of eating and shopping options immediately outside. There's free internet in the restaurant! :) The hallways are really narrow and something like a labrynth, but it's probably hard to get lost. The breakfast buffet was not impressive.

Location: was very close to the center, still in a quiet narrow street. Design was also very nice. There wasn't any elevator, had to carry the luggage upstairs even to get to the reception, then to the room. The room was small, lacking some facilities like fridge and had a very unpleasant smell when we arrived. Nearly impossible to park around there. Long lines for the central underground parking on weekends and in the nearby streets it's both hard to find and expensive on weekends. If you're going on a weekend trip you could at least find a place 5-10' on foot, where it's free on Sundays.

Very central to the Catherdral, less than 5 minutes away on foot. Space, I didnt mind but bathroom was nearly the same size as the sleeping area, maybe consider changing that to give more room to move around the room.

EtC Hotel is well located for access to Strasbourg's historic district. Both our room and bathroom were extremely small. No products beyond soap were provided. There was very little space for our clothes and bags. Some travelers might find the lack of an elevator a problem.

Location is great. You can see hotel from Tram stop Longstross Grand Rue (A or D line). Look for small "Hotel" sign on side street coming in at sharp angle above stairwell entrance. You are a 5 minutes walk from Petite France in one direction and the Cathedral in another. 10 minutes by tram to main train station. Lobby and breakfast area has nice decor. Due to age of building, the floor in my room was uneven, and head of bed was "downhill." I slept in reverse so head elevated. Light bulb needed changing on one light, sink drained slow. I peraonally did not care for color of my assigned room (orange).

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was excellent. Looking at the pictures on the web, I was expecting a much larger room than the one I got. The lavatory was tiny and with poor ventilation system.

Location is very nice, within 100 meters to the tramway station "Ancienne Synagogue Les Halles", within few minutes walk to the Notre Dame de Strasbourg, lots of shops nearby, as well as places to dine. Hotel is recently renovated, lots of effort was put into interior design, but it is in a very old building. I could hear my neighbour sneeze. I saw some sort of mite in the room, right at the bed's headboard. It's not that the hotel is dirty, but all floors are covered with dark multicolor carpet, so these creatures can easily hide in it. I hope the hotel takes as a habit to use acaricides throughout their property. Last thing I'd want from a trip is some mite-induced scabies or the like.

“Hotel Kleber was a good choice for us as it was a clean and well-run establishment near to most attractions in Strasbourg. The room was nicely appointed, staff courteous and efficient and while not inexpensive, was reasonably priced. Breakfasts were quite good and my vegatarian daughter was able to find a good variety of foods.” Ted, Alexandria |
