book a taxi in the morning for 5.00AM thru the hotel receptionist (asian) then the next day no one from reception called us to inform us that the taxi is arrived, so when we get on to the taxi, the meter is already like 10 euro and the driver said I have been waiting for you for 10 mins and coincidentally the taxi driver also asian, sorry not being racism as I am also asian.

Perfect location. Nice staff. Close to metro station,museums and shopping area. Usefull facilities in room, like mini-kitchen. Nice street, Balcony rooms.

Everything is ok, maybe it could be a small renovation for rooms.

The hotel is quite good, quite large rooms, continental breakfast, friendly persanal.

This hotel is in a great location not far from the Louvre and Notre Dame. There is also shopping, other sightseeing, and restaurants all around. It is also very close to the Metro and buses. Our room was basically an apartment which provided great space for the three of us. The kitchenette was also lovely because there is a grocery and a bakery nearby and we could have cafe and breakfast in our room every morning. Staying at this hotel was a really enjoyable experience.

The hotel was in a very good location, the room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English.

Excellent location, excellent attentive staff, comfortable room, great to have mini kitchen. Excellent heating - we were there in the snow storm.

Bit pricey

The room was very clean, with parquet floors, kitchenette, sitting table and chairs. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water in the bath. Even in the Paris mid-January freezing weather the heating system was adequate. Very convenient to all sites and the staff was quite friendly.

There should be better lighting in the room.

the location is the prime plus factor. right in the centre but i also had a good nights sleep. very safe.would recommend this hotel 100%.also had the advantage of a small kitchenette with kettle etc, which is very convenient.

The room had lots of space and a small kitchen area, no cook top or microwave. For Paris, very roomy and clean. Storage was good, staff was very nice and helpful With the window closed the room is very quiet.

The units are not air conditioned so very stuffy,They provide a fan but it is not adequate for summer visitors. When the window is open the unit is very noisy. The area is ok and safe by day but by night it is unsavory and the noise from the bars goes on all night.

Great staff. Great location. It has kitchenettes so every morning I would go to the Boulongerie and buy a bagette and a croissante and we would have coffee and breakfast in the room with a copy of the Herald Tribune which I purchased from the news stand nearby, and then we would be off for our daily adventure (Notre Dame is five minutes away on foot). We walked everywhere and took the Metro as well. Great restaurants nearby. This hotel is not fancy at all, but it is clean and the staff is great. I highly recommend it.

Read above. We had a refrigerator as well, of course, and stores were nearby, so we had wine and beer and we sat on our small balcony and sipped wine and watched the people...that is, when we were not in the sidewalk cafes.

Excellent location. Just a minute away from the chat elect metro station - that is very conducive for sightseeing. Proximity to eating joints. We had a kitchenette in room that came in very handy.

Room size is small..but I was told by my friend that it was to be expected especially in central Paris.

Location is very good. Very close to a central Metro spot for transferring to different subways. Lots of restaurants nearby. Staff for the most part are good.

I enjoyed my stay at Des Halles. It is a small hotel, with only 2 rooms at the floor I stayed. Staff was helpful and always present (which is not obvious for smaller type of hotels). Perfect location close to shopping areas at Les Halles and Rue de Rivoli, and with a wide selection of restaurants in the neighbouring areas. Close to central Paris sightseeing sites and only 50-100 meter walk to Chatelet metro station.

Very friendly and helpful staff, the rooms were clean and comfortable, very nice beds and tea and coffee making facilities available. So convenient for everything right in the middle of Paris.

With the window open at night it was noisy, but you are right in the middle of Paris and our window opened over the main street so not unexpected.
