We loved it. It's a small hotel in a quiet side street. The building and the rooms have a lot of character. It's very romantic. The hotel is just around the corner from Cafe Flore. It's in St German des Pres, so right in the centre, which is great, since you can walk to most places. It was clean and the rooms were nicely furnished. There is an impressive spiral staircase and a lovely conservatory and courtyard garden, where we had breakfast once when we stayed there the year before. This time we had our 6-month old daughter with us and chaotic as I am I just asked for a cot bed three days before we arrived and it wasn't a problem at all. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, I have to say.
If there had been a kettle and tea cups it would have been even better.
the location, the staff
our room was a bit too hot, even with window open
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, pleasant sitting room downstairs to work in and read. Feels like a 4 star hotel, with 3 star prices. I always stay here!
Location. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable firm bed. Decor in room. Heating. Breakfast.
Room was small and bathroom tiny BUT this was Paris and that's how it is!
This is a lovely small hotel, situated in a quiet courtyard in the best part of Paris, with easy access from the Gare du Nore
Nothing really; the bedrooms may be a bit small but hey !,
Lovely staff and quiet rooms despite lively area. Very clean and comfortable with nice views of the garden. I would recommend this small inn to anyone.
This hotel is in a good location however I'd classify it as more boutique. The room although clean was tiny and you could wash your feet in the shower while sitting on the loo, at the same time cleaning your teeth.
Unfortunately our room was at the front of the hotel and we slept with the window open so heard all the screaming etc from those returning in the early hours.
the location, the breakfast room and the garden
too expensive for value (very small room)
Great location, friendly, helpful staff, free wi-fi, lots of "style." Beautiful room and decor.
open shower....pretty tough to use but we managed.
The Hotel is Located within walking distance to many sites. There is a nice lounge below reception where you can hang out before heading out to dinner.
The wifi in my room was none existent; but there is a computer down stairs you can use.
Location historical building funny old man receptionist Nice receptionists
Small and slow elevator Small room Small toilet
Location superb.Numerous restaurants close by..Cozy Boutique hotel style.Room small, but well laid out.Wall garden and attractive breakfast room. Helpful staff.Modern TV with many stations.Safe.
Very tight lift. Had breakfast in cafe around the corner for half the price of that charged by hotel.( Euro 7.00 against 14.00 )
lovely rooms, charming breakfast room and patio, silent rooms with good bedding, very helpful staff and the ideal location
the bathroom is small, the scrambled eggs are not good, the rest is gorgeous
The location of the hotel was perfect; in the heart of the St Germain district, but still peaceful. Spoilt for choice with shops and restaurants and walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go in Paris.
The room was small, but this was not a problem for us. However, we did find the bathroom tiny and a bit claustrophobic. A mirror would have been useful too, as the only one was on the inside of the bathroom door, so use was a bit restricted.
The fact that because the AC was not properly working in the room, they offered to charge us half the tarif because the hotel was full. It was very well located, the staff was kind and helpful.
Very comfortable, homey feeling love the breakfast room and all the windows. Nice to go out on patio for an after dinner drink. The rooms are small but cozy and comfortable. Walking distance to nicest areas.
Such an interesting area with lots of little cafes nearby and within walking distance to Saint Sulpice, Luxembourg Gardens, and of course, the literary cafes on Blvd Saint Germain. At night lots of buskers and break dancers; really good fun!
This hotel was absolutely wonderful. The location was perfect. On the quiet street of Rue, Jacob, it was central to everything Paris: great cafes, boutique shops and fantastic restaurants. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. One of the unusual attributes is a lovely garden area to have a cocktail or coffee. I really could not say enough about this hotel.
Best location in Paris for sightseeing - walking distance to Notre Dame, Musee d'Orsay, the Louvre, Luxembourg Park, the Latin Quarter. Great neighborhood - few minute walk to Metro, many cafes and restaurants nearby, quiet street. Wonderful outside patio - a relaxing place to be with friends or family. French feeling - it is small and French, not like a big international chain hotel
Location, location, location great breakfast helpful staff
Excellent location, very nice staff
Needs furniture renewal
For the price, terrific comfort and a wonderfully central hotel
A bit noisy on a Saturday night after midnight
A nice place to stay and a convenient location
Room sizes a bit small
The location and the local area
Minimal space in the rooms
In particular, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at the reception desk.
