The location was convenient but still a bit of a hike from train station up hill.
A bit expensive .If breakfast was included much better value.
Friendly staff and good central location in Beziers
Tiny room on third floor with no lift and no offer of help to carry cases. Room poorly decorated with basic furnishings and standard double bed. Bed was uncomfortable and basic quality bedding. Only hand held shower in tiny bathroom.
Excellent location in the centre of the town, close to restaurants and the cathedral. Bike friendly as bikes were stored securely in a garage in a nearby building.
Just up the hill through the park from the railway station [10 mins quite steep walk with suitcase]. Also about the same distance in the opposite direction through the streets to the Main Bus Station. [We arrived by train and departed by bus]. Good location for exploring Beziers Old Town and the Midi Canal on foot. Very friendly staff. Very close to the Tourist Information Centre for maps etc. There was plenty to explore on foot in Beziers for a day [we stayed two nights].
Lovely warm owners, great location. The petit dejeuner was just right, and the room where it's served is charming. The Parc des Poetes facing the hotel is just about my favorite part of Beziers. Excellent value for money.
I would have appreciated an outlet for my hair dryer in the bathroom.
Friendly mum and dad hotel. Location is good .Great value for money small room. We had difficulty as there was no lift and we had heavy bags.
Good quality room for the price, well located for both the station and town centre. The hotel is in an old building that has been well maintained and renovated. Rooms on the front overlook the neighbouring park. The free wi-fi works well and the owner/manager was friendly. Breakfast was good and probably worth it for the convenience at €7.50
Despite being on a side street overlooking the park, there is actually quite a lot of noise from the busy roundabout at the end of the street and the nearby Allées Paul Riquet (with bars, restaurants). However, this is fairly normal given the central location and only an issue in the summer when you want to keep the window open.
The owners were extremely accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was very good.
Parking on street outside is an issue but the hotel does have a garage - however it is extremely tight to get into and out of.
Very central, very nice and helpful lady at the reception, near a beautiful park
Excellent location. Friendly helpful owners
We stayed twice in this absolutely charming hotel run by a very friendly couple, in the nice town Béziers. Excellent breakfast, a spacy garage, quiet dead-end street opposite the park. We will come back!
we liked our room opposite the lovely park
the room was rather small and didn't have air con - only a fan which was effective but noisy
Convenient location and friendly staff.
No lift but staff assisted with bags
Nice location downtown.
very French lovely outlook onto park
60 stairs to bedroom!! Was 34 degrees when we were there and the little desktop fan struggled to cool room down
Very helpful owners who offered to securely store my car for 3 days for a great price while I went to Paris.
The hotel looks within easy reach of the train station, in reality it is a steep uphill struggle especially when the gardens "des poetes"are closed. The internet connection was not very good and failed completely when it came to checking out. It was pay cash only.
No wi fi
very friendly and hardworking hosts, who did everything to make the visit very pleasant
climbing a lot of stairs was difficult for me but the staff very willing to carry my case up
The location, ambiance and outlook over the park.
close to rail station as that has been my aim for all hotels. Quiet with views across to park. room a bit small but o.k.Lovely homemade yogurt
no lift had to lug suitcases up stairs and no great shakes with breakfast,
we liked the proprietor. she was friendly and helpful. although she didn't have brilliant English, neither did we, but we all understood each other. would visit again.
Both staff were friendly and pleasant
The hotel was in very poor condition and was in great need of updating.
In a central location, and very near to the train station, so easy to get to. The park next to the hotel is lovely.
We had an early flight on the day of departure, so we decided to ask the hotel staff how much a taxi would cost to the airport rather than trying to figure out how to get there with public transport. The lady at the front desk didn't have great english, so she told us the approximate cost and then wrote it down so that we would understand. We were told €15, which seemed reasonable to us, so she booked us a taxi. This estimate was completely wrong. As soon as we got into the taxi we could see the meter clocking up extremely fast. By the time we had reached the airport we were asked for €46! We didn't have this much cash on us (we had €35 which we thought would be more than enough) and there is no cash machine in the airport, so the taxi driver demanded that he drive us to a cash point, which was a fair few miles from the airport. This cost us even more money, so by the end of it, we had to pay €55! The airport from the hotel is not that far, so the price for a taxi really is ridiculous. If we had known that it was going to be so expensive (and recieved the right info from the hotel), we would have made provisions to get up earlier and find a bus. We'd had such a nice time in France, and this just soured it. Actually it was quite upsetting, because we are by no means wealthy, and had done the whole trip very cheaply up to that point. The hotel itself is very basic. Fine, but basic. To be expected for the price I suppose, but as I live on a tight budget I've stayed in lots of budget places on my travels, and this one wasn't anything to write home about. Moral of the story, don't use taxis in Beziers!
Good location by train station and pretty park
Bed bugs. Horrible itchy bites which lasted for days. I read they had them but trusted it had been dealt with. It hadn't DO NOT STAY HERE until they are bed bug free.
