We stayed only one night, but hotel was up to our expectations. Our room had beautiful view at the Carcassonne's fortress and that's what we ask for. We have arrived after 10pm, so the restaurant was already closed, but a receptionist kindly offered some muffins for my children, something that we are going to remember. Hotel is very comfortable, rooms are big with comfartable beds, with clean and crispy bedlinen. WI FI internet was very good, easy and fast to conect. We had breakfast with a view at fortress and river, with good selection of food and beverage, so all in all an excellent experience.

The location has a panoramic view of the la cite. Perfect for a side trip from Barcelona to Paris. Nothing much, I had a perfectly wonderful time in carcassonne and in this hotel.

Clean facility, convenient to both the Old City and the New City. Excellent variety of foods in the Breakfast Buffet. Courteous Front Desk Staff, and helpful. We were discriminated against by a waiter at dinner on October 20, 2011. For French customers he would pay more attention to them, refilling their wine glasses and providing them with choices as to the dinner rolls they chose; not so for us. Moreover, I asked for a 2006 vintage wine by pointing to it on the wine list. The waiter came back and uncorked a bottle at the table without showing me the vintage; after he left I noticed that it was a 2010 vintage -- no explanation from the waiter. He did not pour the wine either; just put it on the table. When I asked him about it, he said that there were no 2006 vintages. Well, why didn't he tell me that in the first place? He grudgingly took back the 2010 and gave us a 2008, which actually wasn't very good. Poor attitude.

It was in a great location with fantastic views. The hotel was clean and the staff helpfull and pleasant. Other reviews recommended evening meals in the hotels panoramic restaurant however the views at breakfast were equally rewarding. The ability to make tea or coffee in the room would be nice.

Ideally located for old city and main town. Splendid views. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms slightly on the small side. Some street noise but not enough to spoil things.

Hotel in very good condition. View from our room and dinning room was excellent, overlooking the river and castle. The position gives easy walking access to both the Cite and the centre of the town. The room was not large but could not be described as small and was very clean. There was a coach trip party in but they where catered in another dinning room so didn't prevent us having the benefit of the main restaurant. The meal price was reasonable and non plat de jour meals were good. Breakfast at Eu11 was fine in quality and ok in range but certainly not as described, an "American" breakfast.Staff always available, pleasant and very helpful. I'd make a point of booking there again when visiting Carcassone. The plat de jour food was a disappointment. The quantity was fine but the cooking was average at best. The Red wine by the bottle was expensive at Eu24. But good quality, next time I'd try a carafe of the house wine.

The view from our room was panoramic, as promised and there was (chargeable) secure garage parking for our car. Reception staff were helpful and attentive. There was free wifi throughout the hotel. The room was quite small and basic. The balcony was extremely small with no space for even a chair. There is no bar, only a small area being part of the restaurant. We had a real struggle to get our car to the hotel through this confusing and busy city.

Extremely good, comfortable hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Good location with a view across the river to the old city Very little atmosphere. By contrast see my review on the Hotel du Pont Vieux situated at the other end of the old bridge.

Wonderful place to stay ! Very friendly and helpful staff. The view to La Citie is one of the best and dining in the restaraunt for breakfast or dinner is spectacular - especially the dinner ! Book for dinner in the restaraunt and watch the shadows move along the walls of the castle. Wouldn't stop anywhere else.

We where totally disappointed in the hotel considering we booked it after reading reviews. When we arrived room smelt strongly of cigarettes although we where told it was non-smoking, pool was dirty, restraunt/bar was closed. No tea-making coffee facilities available in room. Breakfast extra, room size box-room comes to mind. For the cost they should be providing much better service. Jack and rosemary lloyd.

The view from the diningroom was magnificent - both morning and evening. The quality of food was very good, and the diningroom staff were particularly helpful. The bedrooms were quite satisfactory. All in all, the hotel provided just what we wanted. The hotel was difficult to find, partly because of Carcassonne's one-way system and partly because the only sign to the hotel was behind a bush. I would have liked the bbc world tv channel as cnn was the only English- speaking channel. The dining room was fully booked on two of the three nights we stayed, and we were not told that this would be a problem; it would have helped if, when booking or checking in, someone could have asked if we wanted to book, as resident guests should have priority over non-residents in my opinion.

We loved the location with great views over the walled city and the River Aude. Also the bed was very comfortable and the cleanliness was great. We thought that the rooms were very small and there were no chairs for the balcony. The Panoramic Restaurant looked lovely but we could not get a reservation (bus parties take precedence) Also the price was very high.

Views, Access to Historic City, Pool, Bath Tub, Balcony, great beds. A wonderful park at the bridge for dogs, picnics, relaxing by the water. Like others, Two little chairs and a tiny table on the balcony would make it better, to enjoy the night sky and city views. Perhaps small platic or folding would fit.?
