Fantastic view of old town/castle. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Very relaxing and quiet. Carcassonne is a great location for exploring the surrounding area. There are some great little restaurants with very nice and friendly people and amazing food. One of the staff was sullen and had a problem with English or speaking it. The room was basic (very) the toilet and shower room were seperate. The air con/heating was very noisy. No T or Coffee facilities in room. If you are driving you definitely need satnav so invest in the hire. |

It was a great location in between the citadel of Carcassonne and the old town. The pool and view were nice. Breakfast was expensive and there didn't seem any places close by for breakfast, so had to walk into the town. |

Location. We chose the bedrooms with the view of La Cite, just over the river. The view was superb. The desk staff were very helpful. The room was a good size with lots of hot water. A larger lounge/bar area would have been an advantage. Breakfast was adequate but limited. A room kettle for coffee or tea was missed. |

Close location between the ancient castle of Carcassone and the modern town. Views from ther Restuarant. Whilst there is no direct criticism of the Hotel room for cleanliness etc, it was noisy due to the close proimity of the lift shaft and the air conditioning ducts on the roof outside. |

It isn't a castle but it sure has a great view of one. Definitely get a view room. The bathrooms are quite nice. The dining room is completely lacking in atmosphere, mainly because it is lit up like a bus station. Food isn't bad though. |

We booked a room with view of the old city which was very nice, the top floor pool was good, again with views of the city, location excellent, easy walk to the old city and to the newer one for shopping and eating. underground car park useful but not cheap. |

The view from our balcony was amazing, directly overlooking the castle, the river and it's park. This hotel was ideally placed in a quite enough street within walking distance to the new town and (although up-hill) the castle cité. The hotel staff where very friendly, helpful and attentive. Our room was of modern design, well equipped, tidy and comfortable and was maintained excellently by the maids. The hotel and it's rooms felt very secure. If anything, a small negative would be that we would have enjoyed using the jacuzzi in the swimming pool room of an evening, but it was out of use and covered up during out stay. |

I read previous reviews about this hotel being dirty and shabby, with unhelpful staff and bedbugs. I found none of this. Staff were helpful, rooms were clean, so were the beds. I have no complaints and would recommend this hotel. |

Our room was a panoramic double room.WOW!!! What a view...Something out of a fairy tale. The room was clean and presented well. Was a larger than normal room for france. Parking was a plus.... Meal in restaurant. Cost 69 euros for two. Meat had to be sent back to kitchen as was tough..Could not chew..full of fat. They did replace with better cut of meat tho... |

The hotel has a perfect location looking directly at La Cite. It is located beside the Pont Vieux which is such a beautiful walk and entry to La Cite. It is along the banks of the river, which are a lovely walk in the evening and are very nicely landscaped. Although it looked to be a bit of a walk from the train station, Carcassonne is not too big, and even with heavy backpacks, it was an easy enough walk. It has a free internet computer for the use of customers - a first in all the hotels we stayed in during our holiday in south of France. It also has a vending machine for drinks and snacks, which might seem small, but again a first in all the hotels we stayed in. The pool is very small, but ideal for kids to splash about in Very small thing but our air-conditioning was not very good. |

The real plus about this hotel is its location, with a view of the citadel.Internet worked well. I thought that the room - and frankly the hotel - was really in need of renovation, and that the price was not justified by the facilities |

Breakfast was good and he staff thre were very friendly especially with our baby. The view also was spectacluar The decor was somewhat outdated - neither modern or old-style. The hotel looked to charg 9euro for parking when there was free parking outside |
